On a shocking edition of SmackDown, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens fought to a no-contest after The Bloodline interfered, perhaps offering insight their relationship with Zayn. Plus, Gunther retained the Intercontinental Title over Braun Strowman, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez battled in a Royal Rumble momentum match, Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville got into a brawl and so much more.

Eight days before the Royal Rumble event, Kevin Owens surprised Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Bloodline with an all-out onslaught during their Contract Signing. After Sami Zayn stormed in on Roman Reigns with a vicious attack during the final moments of SmackDown, The Bloodline responded with a fierce counter-assault and The Head of Table’s promised to finish his adversary at WWE Elimination Chamber in front of everyone he loves. Plus, Charlotte Flair defended the SmackDown Women’s Title against Sonya Deville, Braun Strowman & Ricochet won the SmackDown Tag Team Title Contenders Tournament and the right to challenge The Usos, and Natalya won a Fatal 4-Way Match to earn the right to compete in the Elimination Chamber.

On a calamitous edition of SmackDown, Madcap Moss prevailed in a Fatal-Four-Way Match against Rey Mysterio, Karrion Kross and Santos Escobar to earn an Intercontinental Title Match against Gunther. Plus, The Usos retained the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against Braun Strowman and Ricochet, Ronda Rousey made her return and so much more.

An impassioned Sami Zayn returned home to Montreal poised to defy the odds at WWE Elimination Chamber against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Although he lost a SmackDown main event showdown against Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn survived a post-match onslaught by Jimmy Uso and The Enforcer that brought further turmoil to The Bloodline. Plus, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes made it personal en route the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match at WrestleMania.

After Solo Sikoa caused LA Knight to defeat Jimmy Uso by disqualification, The Bloodline and The Judgment Day seemed to have the upper hand against LA Knight and John Cena.
