WordGirl Season 5

The Season 5 premiere finds Dr. Two-Brains plotting to seize cheese while picking apples with his henchmen; and Ms. Question creating a tollbooth that makes citizens answer riddles or become stuck in traffic.

The Butcher plots to trap WordGirl and Huggy in a portal where he stores meat; LRW creates copies of city officials, including Mrs. Botsford, and has them do her dirty work.

Chuck's plan of selling grilled cheese sandwiches is upended by Dr. Two-Brains; Granny May appears to have given up crime in favor of knitting scarves for pets.

The Learnerer learns to be an efficient criminal from Amazing Rope Guy; Becky feels woozy from a gemstone brooch given to her by Violet.

Bampy Botsford panics the city with the tale of the evil giant artichoke; Tobey tricks WordGirl into performing his poetry at the talent show.

WordGirl battles Big Left Hand Guy and InvisiBill, who are plotting a major heist; Becky whiles away the time waiting on Chuck.

Granny May uses crazy contraptions to commit crimes; Tobey, Scoops and TJ compete to spend a day with WordGirl.

Capt. Huggy Face faces an overzealous Chuck; WordGirl tries to stop Eileen from becoming the Birthday Girl prior to a bake sale.

Becky agrees to help out Violet with her poetry/painting/music performance. Meanwhile, Mr. Big has turned into a self-help guru, touting a good kind of mind control. Can Becky help out her best friend while finding out the truth behind Mr. Big's big ruse? Vocab words: Performance, Ruse.

Scoops takes Becky & Bob Botsford and Violet to the museum to find inspiration for his news story for The Big City Times. When they hear a rumor about a haunted treasure, the team goes on a search -- with The Butcher right behind! TJ plans a meeting to divulge a secret about WordGirl to International WordGirl Fan Club members. The club was previously featured in Have You Seen the Remote? where more members were shown. When Tobey finds out that a secret about his love/nemesis will be revealed, he crashes the meeting with an eavesdropping robot and threatens to destroy the clubhouse. WordGirl has to spring into action to save the clubhouse and her fans! Vocab words: Divulge, Eavesdrop.

Granny May decides to become more notorious by committing bigger crimes involving crazy contraptions. Meanwhile, Becky is frustrated that she does not appear in any yearbook photos since she always has to escape to fight crime as WordGirl. Will WordGirl ever be able to get her photo in the yearbook and find time to interact with the new, hi-tech Granny May? Vocab words: Interact, Contraption.

The Big City Times announces a writing contest prize: win a day with WordGirl! A chance at a full-day encounter with everyone's favorite superhero causes TJ and Tobey to go to extremes to win -- ending in a robot-filled squabble at the library. Scoops and Violet also get involved, though they may be more interested in winning the contest than the prize. In the end, Violet wins with her poem about cookies. Vocab words: Encounter, Squabble.
