WordGirl Season 1

WordGirl gets into a battle of wits with Tobey, a boy genius. Then she takes on the Butcher, who is hosting a free barbecue as part of an evil plot.

WordGirl has to guess a secret code word to keep Chuck the Evil Sandwich-Making Guy from crushing City Hall. Also: WordGirl pursues Dr. Two Brains after he escapes from a prison.

WordGirl faces off against Granny May, who prints fake coupons to get things for free. Also: Dr. Two Brains escapes from prison and develops a weapon that turns gold into cheese.

The Butcher tries to steal an artifact from a museum; Becky's parents plan a surprise birthday party for her, but she's busy battling an energy monster.

Granny May goes on a crime spree and convinces the townsfolk that WordGirl is the culprit; Chuck the Evil Sandwich-Making Guy tries to steal some gold.

Wordgirl tries to figure out Mr. Big's latest scheme after he introduces a product that doesn't appear to do anything. Also: Tobey uses robots to keep people out of the town library.

Becky is grounded, so Captain Huggy Face takes over for WordGirl. But he's no match for the Butcher. Also, Dr. Two Brains creates an army of intelligent mice and WordGirl must stop them from taking over the city.

Becky enters a word contest, but she's distracted by the Butcher's criminal activities; WordGirl tries to discover what Mr. Big is up to when he announces that he's running for mayor.

Dr. Two Brains uses a shrinking ray to reduce the size of the things he steals; Tobey uses riddles to impress Wordgirl, but his plan backfires.

Worldgirl battles a tough cold while trying to foil Chuck the Evil Sandwich-Making Guy's latest plan; and the Butcher makes money from an auction of artistic fakes.

Granny May sells an elixir that she claims restores youth; and Dr. Two Brains builds a suit that gives him superstrength.

Tobey plans to steal a copy of a new book so he can read it before other people do; and Granny May goes on a crime spree on a hot summer day.

Chuck the Evil Sandwich-Making Guy gets an obnoxious sidekick named the Whammer; and WordGirl tangles with an evil fan of Dr. Two Brains.

Dr. Two Brains learns WordGirl's secret identity, so she tries to find a way to get him to forget; Mr. Big becomes mayor and orders a ban on WordGirl.

WordGirl teams up with Tobey to find a missing remote control for his robots; and the Whammer signs up for a motivational program in hopes of becoming more than just a sidekick.

WordGirl battles a newcomer named Lady Redundant Woman; and a professor helps WordGirl as she tries to stop a scheme by Dr. Two Brains.

The Butcher faces off against a rival villain, the Masked Meat Marauder; and Chuck the Evil Sandwich-Making Guy builds an evil lair and tries to trap WordGirl.

WordGirl needs help from a new superhero named Violet when the Butcher attacks; and Mr. Big tries to fix a business contest so he can gain ownership of the biggest building in town.

Chuck is bored with pilfering sandwiches all of the time, so creates a new criminal identity for himself; The Butcher gets together with two of his old friends, and the mischievous trio can't resist annoying the town with a series of pranks.

Team Botsford competes against Team Heaslip in the citywide scavenger hunt while Dr. Two-Brains and Tobey create a mouse robot to steal all of the city's cheese. Then, the Coach opens a school for villains.

Lady Redundant Woman escapes from jail and plots to be named belle of the Triple Dip Ball; after several complicated robberies fail, Dr. Two-Brains returns to the basics: stealing cheese from the grocery store.

WordGirl steps into the fray when Granny May manipulates her way into becoming the mayor's senior aide and gets him to enact laws that help villains. Then Tobey enters a contest in hopes of winning WordGirl's heart.

The Season 1 finale finds WordGirl joining forces with none other than Dr. Two-Brains when Glen Furlblam, who now calls himself Dr. Three-Brains, swipes Two-Brain's blackout ray. Then WordGirl and Capt. Huggy Face battle Chuck and Mr. Big.

In Heat Wave, Crime Wave, on a sweltering summer day, Granny May uses the heat wave as an opportunity to go on a crime spree using her air-conditioned jetpack/suit of armor. Mr. Big creates a new mind-control ray that makes everyone use complicated vocabulary words. Meanwhile, his assistant Leslie skydives into the city to attach his "Word Sucker" microphones to every building to record WordGirl's clarifying definitions. Dr. Two-Brains accidentally discovers WordGirl's secret identity using his latest invention, the "Really Big Mechanical Ear", which was supposed to be used in order to find out about specific cheese events going on in the city. After one of his henchmen messed with the device, it accidently fell upon a converstion between Becky and Bob about their WordGirl and Huggy uniforms - leading Two-Brains to believe that Becky is WordGirl! Mr. Big finally cheats his way to becoming the town mayor by having him and Leslie disguise themselves, and then have Leslie use his mind-control ray to force the current town mayor into giving him complete control of the city. As a result, WordGirl and Captain Huggy Face are banned from their own city! As Becky and Bob, the heroes must restore order to the town and Mr. Big's silly laws. Vocabulary Words: Banned Restore

In this episode, Tobey's mother "accidentally" sells his master remote and it ends up in the hands of Johnson, who presents it to TJ, the president of the International WordGirl Fanclub, as his club dues. When TJ starts arbitrarily pressing the buttons, robots begin behaving strangely, wrecking various buildings and areas as they go. WordGirl and Huggy find Tobey, who explains the situation, and since WordGirl doesn't know what the remote looks like she suggests they work together to find it. Wordgirl even asks Tobey if he has a tracking device for the remote, which he does, but he hides it in his back pocket saying he has never herd of a "tr-a-cking device." In their search, Tobey slyly suggests that they should search the library, and museum. At the library he even finds Wordgirl's favorite dictionary and at the museum he views her favorite painting.They even get ice cream in the park. When doing some spring-cleaning, Dr. Two-Brains finds one of his forgotten gadgets, a device that is called "the hairgel to cream cheese inator" that turns hair gel into cream cheese. In spite of that, WordGirl teams up with Professor Tubing, the new resident of Dr. Boxleitner's old laboratory. One moonlit night, after a strange paint-splattering accident, Violet Heaslip believes she has become a superhero called "The Framer". Violet assumes she has the power to capture villains and tie them up simply by holding up her picture frame in front of them, closing her eyes, and reciting her catchphrase. The Framer seems to have replaced WordGirl when battling The Robber and The Generic Robber. However, her "superpowers" aren't much help for WordGirl, whom she constantly confides in. Tired of the same old sandwich-related crimes, Chuck the Evil Sandwich-Making Guy develops a new persona: The Handsome Panther, who's ferocious, and even has his own theme song. WordGirl and Captain Huggyface go off to battle the Panther, as he goes to steal a sandwich recipe, and he still continues using the same old sandwich-related weapons. After a slew of failed (and complicated) robberies, Dr. Two-Brains decides to go back to basics and simply steal cheese from the grocery store. But he can't resist when the Mayor hosts "The Most Amazing Cheese Stunt In History".
