Season Plot
Unsolved: The Man With No Alibi. In the early hours of 12 July 2002 Jong Ok Shin, a 26 year old Korean student, was brutally stabbed to death, as she walked home, after a night out in Bournemouth. Omar Benguit, a heroin addict, was convicted of the murder and sentenced to life in prison.
Unsolved: The Man With No Alibi Season aired on March 25th, 2018.

Reporter Bronagh Munro pieces together the events of the early hours of 12 July 2002, when South Korean student Jong Oki Shin was stabbed to death in Bournemouth. Bronagh examines the evidence that convicted Omar Benguit of the murder, after three trials.

Bronagh travels to Italy to investigate the past of an Italian suspect, named Danilo Restivo. Could Oki have been murdered by a serial killer?

Bronagh tracks down some of the witnesses, who testified against Omar, and makes some extraordinary discoveries.
