New residents move in and get to know one another at Rutherford Court.

The residents are concerned about the maintenance of the electrics and someone calls the RSPCA concerning Mr. Harding's dog.

Richard is worried that Duggie knows that he jumped the queue for his flat. Mr. Harding has trouble cooking.

Harry Klein is not happy his wife Dora takes a cleaning job at Rutherford Court. Divorcee Mr. Sheperd joins the residancy.

The residents pools coupon comes through but someone forgot to post it.

The residents argue about what they should spend their winnings on.

Shepherds wife's affair with a footballer is reported in the paper and the new freezer is installed in the laundry room. Duggie's pliers go missing along with other items.

Julie tells Richard she's pregnant, Mrs. Potts falls of a Stepladder leading to the discovery of missing items in her room.

A red serviette finds its way into a communal white wash and Julie discusses her pregnancy with Daphne.

Mr. Shepherd brings a lady friend home from the office. Derek announces he is leaving and asks Daphne a favour.

Martha falls unwell and some residents start to become bored of their daily routine. Julie starts to suspect Richard is having an affair.

Daphne finds taking care of Martha challenging and the lounge needs a new TV. Julie confronts Richard about his working late.

The 'influenza' illness is becoming an epidemic after Lynne falls ill causing concern that the illness is something more. Mike gets confronted about the fish he stored in the communal freezer.

Duggie has to pay for all the spoilt freezer foods and some of the residents have a darts match with a local pub team.

Julie and Richard throw a dinner party and news spreads about Trevor's sexuality.

The Dunn's are concerned about having to finding a new home, half the residents have hangovers and Duggie's homophobia continues.

Richard is upset Julie is working for Swanson and Dora wins a prize.

Mike asks Tricia out on a date much to Duggies annoyance.

The residents hold a meeting decide whether trevor's boyfriend should be aloud to move in with him.

The Dunn's have found a new flat and Mike takes Elsie out for a motorcycle ride. Harry starts a petition after losing a vote to allow Trevor's boyfriend to stay. Julie is admitted to hospital.

Julie is released from hospital following her miscarriage and her mother arrives to help and Daphne is contacted by an old friend.
