Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum Plot
For the first time, The Ultimate Fighter features mixed martial artists from Mexico and Latin America, eight featherweights and eight bantamweights are divided into teams representing Mexico and Latin America and coached by heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, and his number one contender, Fabricio Werdum. Over the course of twelve weeks, they live in the same house, and train to fight each other in the octagon, with different backgrounds and cultures but with one dream in mind, to win a contract with the UFC.

Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum Episodes
1. Warriors
UFC President Dana White welcomes 16 promising Latin American Bantamweight and Featherweight fighters to Las Vegas to compete for a contract in the UFC. The men split into two teams, Mexico and Latin America, led by World Heavyweight Champion Caín Velásquez and number one contender, Fabricio Werdum. Team alliances and cultural differences come into play as the fighter's pursue the dream of becoming an MMA star.
2. The Fish Dies by Its Mouth
After having won the first fight, team Velasquez celebrates their victory, and rubs it in team Werdum's face. Mexican Gabriel Benitez gets ready to face Chilean fighter Diego Rivas and is determined to do some damage, but he struggles to make weight. Benitez and Rivas meet in the octagon and have the bloodiest fight of the season.
3. El Diablito vs. El Profe
Team Mexico has won two in a row and go for a third as Alejandro "Diablito" Pérez takes on Team Latin America's Olympic wrestling fighter Fredy "El Profe" Serrano. Mexican actor Salvador Zerboni surprises the fighters with a trip to a live UFC fight featuring UFC Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao and former Ultimate Fighter competitor T.J. Dillashaw.
4. All or Nothing
After Team Werdum's third loss, Werdum trains his strongest fighter, Panamanian Humberto Brown to face the most technical Mexican fighter, Yair Rodriguez. Both with the same motivation, to win the competition and help their families back home. When the food starts disappearing at the house, team Werdum points the finger at the Mexicans and decides to take action. Brown fights Rodriguez in the hopes to turn the tables and give his team the first victory.
5. Two Fathers
Team Mexico celebrates its fourth victory in a row with a wild night under the stars and now it's up to Team LA's youngest fighter, Marlon "Chito" Vera to fight experienced Mexican striker Henry "Bure" Briones and give Coach Werdum the privilege of fight control. "Chito" opens up to his teammates and reveals the dark secret that motivates him to fight.
6. Unity Makes Strength

7. Ninja vs. Psycho
Caín Velásquez takes a risk as he pairs his last peso gallo fighter, Marco "Psycho" Beltrán against team Latin America's strongest and most arrogant fighter, Guido "Ninja" Cannetti. Mexican actress Claudia Álvarez treats both teams to a fun night out at Red Rock Casino and challenges them to a game of pool. The winning team will get an enticing prize.
8. One Can Make a Difference
Team Velasquez celebrates their victories in a night out in Vegas that they will never forget. After losing 6 of 7 preliminary fights Fabricio Werdum has one last chance to get a fighter into the semi-finals as featherweight Leonardo Morales faces the popular Mexican Masio Fullen. After the fight, Dana White meets with the fighters and announces the match-ups for the semifinals.
9. My Brother, My Friend
Rodolfo Rubio and Yair Rodriguez compete for a place in the featherweight finale while coaches Velásquez and Werdum face off in the "Coaches Challenge". The winning coach will get a generous cash prize for themselves and their teams.
10. Hanging by a Thread
It's almost time for Chito Vera's anticipated semifinal fight against Alejandro "El Diablito" Perez, but his unknown skin condition has worsened and affects his preparation for the fight. The most shocking fight of the season comes to a dramatic end that puts one fighter in an ambulance.
11. It's In Our Blood
Once again, team Mexico's tight-knit group comes into focus as two Mexican teammates face off in the Octagon. José "Teco" Quiñonez and Marco "Psycho" Beltrán must set their friendship aside to find out which of the two will be fighting Alejandro "El Diablito" Pérez in the bantamweight finale. Meanwhile, Werdum surprises his team with UFC's latest MMA video game.
12. Latin America United
Its time for the fourth and final semifinal fight, and for Fabricio Werdum, his last hope to have his team represented in the live finale. Nicaraguan Leonardo Morales trains to fight Mexican Gabriel Benitez. After the fourth semifinal fight, Dana White calls the finalists and trainers to face off until they meet again in the octagon of the Arena in Mexico City on November 15.
