An American archeologist, Desmond Jordan, moves to Africa, seeking the fabled "Speaking Mountain". This brings him into the middle of the Sahara desert. Is the mountain just a fable or is there something to it?

1. Episode 1
The Hoggar Mountains in the Sahara are said to be home to the mysterious Talking Mountain, which promises wealth and fortune to those who discover its secret. Both the American archaeologist Desmond Jordan and the greedy caliph of Timbuktu go in search of him. But the legendary place is guarded. Nobody knows what secret the Talking Mountain in the Sahara holds, but everyone wants to find out: the American archaeologist Desmond Jordan, his companion Orso, the Foreign Legionnaire Lieutenant Ryker and the Caliph of Timbuktu. So far everyone who has tried this has died. Desmond and Orso, on the run from robbers, find refuge in the oasis of the Jew Sholomon, whose adoptive daughter Parizade falls in love with Orso.
2. Episode 2
After much effort, Desmond Jordan has finally found the Talking Mountain. But Anthea, the lord of the mountain, forbids him to investigate further. It allows him only one glimpse into the interior of the mountain.
3. Episode 3
Jordan had to pay for his curiosity with his eyesight. He is captured and handed over to the caliph. Meanwhile, his adversaries band together. Under the command of Lieutenant Ryker, they want to uncover the secret of the mountain.
4. Episode 4
Jordan's son Philip has found a loyal helper in El Hallem, the former leader of the desert bandits. With the support of Anthea, they manage to free Jordan from the caliph's power. Together they compete against Ryker.
