The Real Thing Season 1

Two-timing office worker Tsuji becomes deeply involved with a woman named Ukiyo after a chance encounter with her at a convenience store.

Tsuji bumps into Ukiyo, but she runs away from him. After chasing her down and learning where she lives, he gets even more swept up in her troubles.

After Ukiyo almost faints from hunger, Tsuji takes her out to eat. She begins to let her guard down and reveals to him the origin of her name.

Tsuji finds out that Ukiyo is working at a hostess bar. When he offers her a place to stay, things look bright — until he learns a shocking truth.

Hosokawa starts to get jealous of Ukiyo. Things get worse at work when the company learns of the relationship between Tsuji and Hosokawa.

Tsuji tries to forget about Ukiyo by planning a future with Hosokawa. However, his world is turned upside down when Ukiyo suddenly appears again.

Tsuji breaks up with Hosokawa and Minako, but Minako does not take it well. Wanting to know Ukiyo's whereabouts, Tsuji visits Wakita's office.

Living with Ukiyo and receiving a new job offer has Tsuji in good spirits, but it all starts to fall apart when another secret is revealed.

Daisuke makes Ukiyo a proposal after regaining his composure, but she says she needs to think it over. She goes to Tsuji's place but finds it empty.

Four years later, Ukiyo works a door-to-door sales job to look for Tsuji. One day, Wakita appears and offers to sell her Tsuji's address.
