1. Episode 1

January 2nd, 19881 hr

In this week's show Paul Daniels finds an unexpected surprise with his grocery bill and, with help from American magician John Gaughan, recreates the mystery of Psycho, the card-playing automaton with which the legendary magician John Nevil Maskelyne caused a sensation in London 100 years ago. Paul also introduces his remarkable guests from the USA: Mat Plendl, spinning hula-hoops as you have never seen before, and Jamey Turner, the world's leading exponent of the musical glasses.

2. Episode 2

January 9th, 19881 hr

Paul Daniels traces his family tree in an unusual manner and, with Johnny Morris and Bobby Roberts Jr, attempts to make an elephant disappear. His remarkable guests are the Shanghai Kunju Theatre from China with their spectacular acrobatic and martial arts skills, and from the USA, the comedy juggler Frank Olivier.

January 16th, 19881 hr

In this week's show Paul Daniels narrates a grisly tale of "orrible murder' and plays host to the Daniels Derby Silver Cup. He also introduces his remarkable guests: from Great Britain, Vince Bruce with his exciting whip-cracking and rope-spinning skills; from the USA, Kohl and Company bringing elegance to grand illusion.

January 23rd, 19881 hr

Paul Daniels travels to Devon to perform the most spectacular card trick of his career, in the presence of Arthur Marshall. He also introduces his remarkable guests: Cardini, the 'Suave Deceiver'; and from the USA, Randy Brown, playing with a bat and ball as you have never seen before.

In this week's show Paul Daniels uncovers his new patent spelling machine and helps magical colleague Alan Shaxon divide a girl into three pieces. He also introduces his other guests: from Great Britain, the ventriloquist Saveen with Daisy May; from Switzerland, Tempest Cottet with their original manipulative skills.

In this week's show Paul travels to Blackpool Tower Circus to attempt the most dangerous escape of his career in the company of ringmaster Norman Barrett and Sally Chipperfield 's lions presented by James Clubb. He also introduces his remarkable studio guests: from Holland, world champion magic star Richard Ross from Switzerland, Mummenschanz with their unusual mime skills. Special guest, Ray Brooks.

February 13th, 19881 hr

In this week's show Paul presents the mystery of the patriotic pom-poms and impersonates the famous Danish-American illusionist Dante in 'The Mystery of the Black and White Barrels'. He also introduces his international guests: from Broadway, the critically acclaimed mime clown Bill Irwin ; from India, the master of hand shadows Prasanna Rao.

8. Episode 8

February 20th, 19881 hr

In this week's show Paul links up with the British Library Reading Room within the British Museum in the company of Lord Soper and Magnus Magnusson in order to predict a word in billions. He also introduces his remarkable guests: from Great Britain, award-winning comedy magic star Terry Herbert . From Spain, Rodolf Reyes, 'the upside down man'.

In this week's show, the last in the current series, Paul travels to the seaside to present Debbie McGee and her new-found acrobatic skills, and to showcase the diverse juggling talents of Peter Davison, Jonathan Held and Kezia Tenenbaum, better known as Airjazz.
