Season 4 Plot
This season, The Last Alaskans face obstacles brought on by the unforgiving environment, including rising predator competition and the aftermath of forest fires, as well as the deeply personal challenges. After 40 years in the Alaskan Wilderness, due to the return of his cancer, Bob Harte must move away from the refuge and into town with his daughter and granddaughter. We will follow Bob's hard-fought battle to the end and get the chance to say goodbye. For Heimo and Edna Korth, this season brings an opportunity they have dreamt of for years: their daughter Krin and her family will attempt to survive a winter in the refuge. There's also another new face this season, as Tyler and Ashley Selden bring their baby girl Sidney into the refuge. They look to improve their property and face the challenge of balancing the demands of being parents, as well as providers for their newest member. Charlie Jagow faces one of his toughest challenges this season in the aftermath of the summer fires. He must re-establish 40 years' worth of family traplines. These families and trappers will be challenged like never before as they look to continue the unique life they've built in the refuge.

Season 4 Episodes
1. Hit the Ground Running
Heimo stalks his best hunting grounds and Tyler tracks caribou as the pressure is on to get a big kill before the harsh Alaskan winter takes hold. Charlie inspects his traplines but damage from summer wildfires puts his season in jeopardy.
2. The Price of Freedom
Charlie scrambles to secure his first big kill and rebuild his traplines. Heimo's daughter Krin and family arrive in the refuge but are tested immediately when their cabin is uninhabitable. Bob struggles with his health.
3. Two Kills
Tracking a caribou herd, Heimo's daughter Krin and her husband Scott are out to prove they can make it in the refuge. Tyler and Ashley look to make a major improvement running water in their cabin.
4. No Regrets
The loss of Bob Harte is felt across the Refuge. Heimo boats to Bob's cabin to bring Bob's possessions to his family. Charlie recovers his father's shotgun from a hidden cache and hunts small game. Edna prepares her favorite meal, caribou head.
5. The Hunter Is Hunted
As moose season opens, the hunt is on to get meat for the winter.
6. Winter's Wrath
As winter closes in, Tyler is on a desperate hunt to get a moose that can feed his family. With the river freezing over, Heimo and Scott race to get his boat off the water. Bob's daughter and ex-wife return to his cabin to honor his memory.
7. Hard Choices
With temperatures plummeting, Heimo pushes into the arctic, desperate to get a moose for winter. Charlie and Tyler look to start their trapping seasons but must overcome devastating fire damage on their traplines.
8. Never Gets Easier
With no meat for winter, Heimo's desperate to run his trapline, but has no choice but to hunt for moose. Krin makes a devastating discovery - a wolf pack hunting on her trapline. Tyler and Ashley work together to make the most of a recent moose kill.
9. Biting Back
Heimo tests his trapping skills on both land and water to outsmart one of his favorite catches, beaver. Scott puts lessons learned to the test as he tracks marten. Tyler's plan to run his sled dog team is threatened when the pack turns on each other.
10. Laying Down Their Legacy
Scrambling to finish trapping season, Heimo discovers the best catch so far: a wolf. Charlie walks a legend's footsteps as he works the traplines Bob left to him. Tyler takes on the challenge of getting their hunting cabin ready for next season.
