Season 2 Plot
The Last Alaskans are joined by extended family members, with some members traveling to the refuge by boat for the first time in 20 years. Bob Harte and his daughter, Talicia, embark on a dangerous river journey from Fairbanks to the cabin where she was raised decades ago. Heimo Korth breaks ground on a new cabin with wife Edna, his daughters and grandchildren. The Lewis family journey back to their old homestead, navigating upriver through Alaska's interior on a house boat constructed over the past decade by patriarch Ray. Tyler and Ashley Selden continue to gain experience in the wilderness and contemplate adding a new member to their family. And 19-year-old Charlie Jagow, who was born in the refuge and remains one of the youngest permit-holders there, returns to build his first cabin.

Season 2 Episodes
1. Home Again
With summer fading and trapping season around the corner, Heimo Korth works to build a new cabin for his family. The Seldens settle in and look to fill their larder with moose meat, while the Lewis family attempts to reach an old homestead by boat.
2. Only the Strong
The countdown to winter continues as Heimo breaks ground on the new cabin. Bob & his daughter embark on a river journey to the cabin where she was raised. The Lewises resurrect their first cabin in the bush, a place abandoned for nearly 18 years.
3. Survival Mode
Preparations for winter continue, and focus centers on finding food. Heimo pursues caribou meat, while Tyler & Ashley score big game, building their confidence in the bush. Bob & his daughter reminisce on the past as they arrive at their cabin home.
4. Alone
Fall continues in the bush as the Last Alaskans settle into wilderness solitude. Battling loneliness, Bob Harte welcomes a visitor to his cabin. The Seldens bask in the glory of a major triumph, while Ray Lewis is just beginning the hunt for meat.
5. Winter's Edge
The race begins to secure food and shelter before the snow flies. Heimo's family hunts for caribou, but a bear could stop them in their tracks. Tyler and Ashley work to pull in a winter's supply of salmon. Bob and Nancy face a hard truth about his future.
6. On Thin Ice
The sun returns, signaling late winter in ANWR. An unwelcome intruder threatens Tyler and Ashley's success. Heimo and Edna say a final goodbye to their oldest cabin, while Charlie meticulously builds his very first and reflects on his future in the bush. The Seldens embark on a 4-day trapping loop that could lead them through dangerous conditions. Heimo must compete with a pack of wolves to secure a moose for winter. The Lewis cabin is rehabbed, but the girls still have a lot to learn about this new home.
7. Dark Winter
Heimo still needs a moose; the Seldens embark on the next part of their trapline journey; Charlie Jagow is introduced.
8. Fire and Ice
Tyler and Ashley are threatened by an intruder; Heimo and Edna say farewell to their old cabin; Charlie builds his first habitat.
