1. Riders Rest
Michelle and her husband Mimmo’s café, located by a stable yard in a tiny Somerset village, isn’t making a profit. After more than 15 years of hard graft the once-successful site has terrible occupancy rates and is hurtling towards huge losses, so it remains to be seen whether Alex can turn their fortunes around.

Alex Polizzi is back on the Kent coast to revisit the Westward Ho! in Folkestone, where five years ago she came to the rescue of hotelier Jon. He was struggling with terrible reviews and plummeting profits while trying to keep his budget hotel open. Has the seaside residence turned the tide?

Nine years ago, Bournemouth business Hotel Celebrity lacked much needed glamour. Owner Ken has done more work to the 55-room hotel, and has taken on another, but are either of them making any money? And what advice can Alex Polizzi give to help Ken get his new property turning a much-needed profit?
