Season 1 Plot
Kim Tan is the heir to Empire Group who has been sent to study abroad in the U.S. In reality it's a form of exile, as his elder half-brother back home schemes to take over the family business. While in the States, Tan meets Cha Eunsang, who arrived from Korea in search of her older sister. He feels himself falling for her, never realizing that she's the daughter of his family's housekeeper. When his fiancée Rachel Yoo arrives to bring him back to Korea, his heart is torn between love and duty.

Season 1 Episodes
1. Episode 1
Tired of her difficult life, Cha Eunsang takes the opportunity of her sister's wedding in the States to go start a new life for herself.
2. Episode 2
Eunsang stays with Kim Tan and experiences a day in his life. Unfortunately, it puts her right in Rachel Yoo's line of fire, who's not happy to see another woman in Tan's home.
3. Episode 3
Tan and Eunsang get stranded on the road. As they get to know each other better, Tan finds himself growing more attached to her.
4. Episode 4
Eunsang returns to Korea and discovers that her mother has moved into the Kim household. Tan struggles with his position in the Kim family.
5. Episode 5
Tan causes an uproar in his house and with his social circle when he returns to Korea for good. Knowing that Eunsang lives in his house, he enjoys a little bit of friendly and flirtatious teasing.
6. Episode 6
Eunsang has a rough first week at Jeguk High, and it's not helped by the fact that she knows Tan before transferring to the school.
7. Episode 7
Tan flirts with Eunsang excessively, while Choi Youngdo continues to torture her in school.
8. Episode 8
Youngdo realizes that he can't get Eunsang out of his mind. Tan confesses his feelings to Eunsang, even though the world is pitted against their union.
9. Episode 9
Things get complicated when the whole school starts digging up on Eunsang's background, and Tan isn't able to protect her.
10. Episode 10
It's camp time, but Tan decides not to join the rest of his class after having a falling out with Eunsang.
11. Episode 11
The love triangle heats up between Tan, Eunsang, and Youngdo. The news that Rachel and Youngdo will become half-siblings goes public.
12. Episode 12
The two sons of Jeguk Group come face to face with reality when they realize that they're coming up against a formidable foe to protect their loves.
13. Episode 13
Eunsang and Tan face up to all their opponents and announce their relationship, but it leads to a whole mess of problems for everyone around them.
14. Episode 14
Rachel takes over as the new bully in town as everyone is left to reflect on their own actions and thoughts.
15. Episode 15
Tan's father takes matters into his own hands when Rachel and Tan's engagement is called off. For the sake of peace, he starts a war within his family.
16. Episode 16
Kim Won fights for his rightful position in Jeguk Group while Tan uses his shares to his advantage to protect Eunsang.
17. Episode 17
Tan goes to extreme lengths to find Eunsang, only to realize that the only way to protect her is to leave her.
18. Episode 18
Won steps in to help his brother and Eunsang regain their footing. Youngdo makes a painful choice for himself and his friends.
19. Episode 19
Tan makes a public stand against his father for Eunsang's sake, but his real obstacle is getting Eunsang's mother's approval.
20. Episode 20
The fate of Jeguk Group lies in Tan's hands.
