The Footage Detectives Season 3

Mike and Noel are joined by Ellen Macintosh, a star in No Hiding Place, Girl on Approval and Scales of Justice; they look at The Hidden Truth, Cause of Death and a reel of film of Cornwall in the 60s.

Join Mike and Noel as they present; pre-WWII footage of Germany, a lost episode of a series teaching English abroad starring Hattie Jacques, footage of Radio Essex and there are few surprises too!

This week Mike and Noel take a look at a lost film of Wilson, Keppel and Betty and are joined by expert Alan Stafford. They also view a promotional film made by The National Trust in 1938.

This week, Mike and Noel take a look at a travelogue reel and a 50s hair care short. After a startling discovery, they chat with Dinah Kaye's great niece and another footage detective, Kevin Geddes.

Jamie Muir, son of Frank Muir brings in footage Frank shot, we see Frank as a dad and an unseen reel of Peter Sellers! With footage of Blackpool in the 50s/60s and a look at the career of Peter Glaze.

Mike and Noel discover Larry the Lamb in toytown and meet Patsy Blower, who voices Larry. Also, they look at a 'Holiday On The Continent' in the 50s/60s and discuss the lost series Stars & Garters.

This week, Mike and Noel are joined by Gay Emma from Badger's Bend, discuss responses from the home movie reels from Jonathan Kydd, Sam Kydd's son and take a look at a short of Britain's industries.

Mike and Noel take a look at the life and career of Denise Bryer, read viewers letters about the Humpries Film Lab short, analyse findings from No Hiding Place Jigsaw and uncover an unknown reel.

Joining us this week is Phil from Reel Street, a specialist in matching shots of films with shots of the locations. We pay tribute to actor Hardy Kruger and look at How to Paint your Home in the 60s.

Nick Emery, Dick Emery's son joins us this week, with footage starring Dick. There's a Hertfordshire village in the late 30s/40s with lost footage of George Bernard Shaw and Danny Kaye, and more!

Joanna McCallum joins the TPTV cinema with footage from the family's private archives of her parents Googie Withers and John McCallum. Also, there's a look at Paris in the 50s and its vintage trains.

Mike and Noel are joined by Mark Hutchinson, son of Tony Hutchinson - an original footage detective! There's a reel of film made at Shepperton Studios, and we go behind the scenes with Ronnie Waldman.
