Season 10 Plot
Detectives Mike Shepherd, Kristin Sims and Daniel Chalmers continue to wrestle with the alarming murder rate in Brokenwood. With the help of their curious pathologist, Dr Gina Kadinsky, they use all manner of unconventional methods to solve the town's more macabre and unusual crimes. From a brutal murder with a Jurassic twist to a spooky crime scene amidst the Day of the Dead, a lovestruck dental patient and a vicious visit to a House of Horrors, this seasons' homicides capture the quirky spirit of New Zealand's deadliest town.

1. Brokenwood-o-saurus
After dinosaur fossils are discovered in the foothills of Brokenwood, the town buzzes about the potential boost for tourism; but when a paleontologist turns up dead, the future doesn't look so rosy.
2. Day of the Dead
When the Brokenwood Small Business Association stage a Mexican "Day of the Dead" night market, they don't bargain on an actual dead body becoming part of the festivities.
3. Publish or Be Damned
A writers retreat on a picturesque estate generates ample inspiration when the mentor, Dame Audrey McKinnon, is found deceased, floating under a nearby waterfall.
4. Love You to Death
Brokenwood's favorite dentist, Sonny Lyman, is the subject of Jools Fahey's amorous attentions; Jools becomes a prime suspect when Sonny's wife is found gassed in an oven.
5. House of Screams
The House of Screams, a local scare attraction, becomes the venue for an actual murder when a teenager is found with a sickle through his neck.
6. Three Gold Leaves of Jesus
While a visiting theatrical troupe puts on a nativity play at St. Judas, a precious holy relic goes missing, and the actor playing Jesus is killed.
