Tenali Rama Season 1 (2017)

The villagers of Tenali are flocking to Lakshmiamma's house to attend the wedding of her son, Rama. Meanwhile at Lakshiamma's house, preparations are in full swing for the wedding when Gunjappa, Rama's friend, notices that Rama is missing. Sharda, Rama's bride and his lover, falls unconscious upon knowing the harsh truth. Soon, the villagers begin their search for the eloped bridegroom.

Sharda is annoyed at seeing Rama continue his merry ways and living a carefree life when everyone around him is in trouble. Sharda informs Rama that Gundappa's family will go homeless if they don't repay money to a notorious loan shark. Rama assures Sharda that he will devise a way to save Gundappa and his family.

Goddess Kali appears before Tenali Rama and asks him for his wish. Tenali Rama impresses Kali with his wit and walks away with his wishes fulfilled. Then, Tenali Rama arrives in the village and ties the knot with his lady love.

Tenali Rama travels to Vijayanagara with his family. Meanwhile, the king asks his Nagar Kotwal to catch the thief who has been troubling the people in the empire or he will lose his position. Tathacharya is furious to see Tenali Rama in the town, and he comes up with a plan to teach Rama a lesson. Will Rama be able to escape from the conspiracy against him?

Tathacharya buries Tenali Rama neck-deep in mud and curses him . He manages to trick a passerby and escape. When Tathacharya discovers that Tenali Rama has escaped, he devices a plan to capture him.

After Tenali Rama manages to escape, Tathacharya organises a hunt for him and declares him a thief. He puts Rama's posters all over the village. But when Tenali sees the pictures, he replaces them with Tathacharya's photo.

Tenali Rama tells Tathacharya that he will soon escape from the prison. He manipulates the kotwal and gathers the things he needs to escape from captivity. As Tathacharya visits the prison to check out on Tenali Rama, he finds out that a fire has broken out and Rama is missing.

Tenali Rama traps Tathacharya and the kotwal in the prison and escapes. Furious by this act, Tathacharya demands a death sentence for Rama from the king. As the King asks to find Rama and present him before him, Rama appears in the court himself and pleads his innocence. What will the fate hole for Rama? Will the king punish him with death this time?

Tenali starts his investigation to find the real thief, and he starts by revisiting all the places of crime in order to look for clues. Tenali stumbles upon a few lines written by the thief and comes up with a plan. Although his mother urges him to run away from the kingdom, Tenali insists he will stay and see this through. What is his plan?

Tenali Rama visits Sudhamini's house and is surprised to find Tathacharya. Sudhamini is shocked when she finds her jewels missing. At Krishnadevraya's court, Tenali appears and reveals that he has found out the real thief.

Tenali manages to prove his innocence and reveals that Kotwal is the thief responsible for stealing Sudhamini's jewels. He tricks Tathacharya and forces him to confess to Krishnadevraya that he saw Kotwal stealing from Sudhamini's house.

Tenali addresses Kotwal as Mallu Deva in front of Krishnadevaraya and claims that he is the thief. Tenali gets abducted by a few men. He is shocked to find that Gopanna, Kotwal's aide, is in fact Mallu Deva.

Tenali Rama partners with Gopanna aka Mallu Deva and visits Tathacharya's house to steal. His foolish assistants reveal where the jewels are kept. When Tathacharya arrives, he is angry to see his precious things stolen, and finds a clue left behind.

While Krishnadevaraya gets ready for Kotwal's hanging, Tenali arrives and reveals that Kotwal is innocent. But Krishnadevaraya accuses him of lying and awards him death sentence.

Tenali Rama tries to buy time from Krishnadevaraya in order to wait for Mallu Deva and his men to arrive. After a while, when Tenali is about to get hanged, Mallu Deva sneaks out from a secret chamber and is forced to confess to his crimes.

Krishnadevaraya is impressed with Tenali Rama's wit and humour and officially appoints him as Vijaynagara's jester. However, Tathacharya is unhappy with the decision but is forced to abide by the king's order.

Tenali Rama is excited for his first day as the jester in Krishnadevaraya's court. While he looks for a seat, Tathacharya humiliates him and drags him to the entrance. But Rama uses his wit and manages to win against Tathacharya.

A lady comes to Krisnadevaraya's court and tries to con everyone by telling that she has a magical saree that is invisible. However, Tenali understands her ploy and decides to use her own trick against her.

After being mocked by Tathacharya at Krishnadevaraya's court, Tenali Rama feels humiliated and decides to resign from his position as a jester. But he decides not to give up when he miraculously advises a little girl.

When Krishnadevaraya hears everyone gossiping about his soft corner for Tenali Rama, he decides to take his test. He disguises as a saint and visits Rama's house with his assistant.

Tenali Rama queues up to collect a golden mango being donated by Krishnadevaraya. Alleging that he is greedy, Krishnadevaraya orders Tenali Rama to leave the court and asks him to never show his face again.

Timmarusu secretly visits Tenali and seeks his favour in protecting Krishnadevaraya and the Vijayanagar empire from the unfavorable demands being made by Tathacharya. At a feast, Tathacharya is insulted by Tenali Rama, and he vows to seek revenge.

The council members are stunned when Tenali arrives in the council with his face covered inside an earthen pot. When asked about the earthen pot, Tenali replies that he does not want the King to see his face as it will infuriate him.

Queen Devyani from Sundergadh sends an exquisite piece of jewellery to Krishnadevaraya as a gift. But Krishnadevaraya is caught in a dilemma when both his wives crave for the jewellery. He assigns Tenali Rama to bail him out of the situation.

Tathacharya speaks to Chinna Devi and Tirumalamba and poisons their mind against each other. Meanwhile, Tenali is caught in a dilemma about the 'Sindurpatta'. His wife suggests that he gets another 'Sindurpatta' made to make both queens happy.

Tathacharya finds out that Tenali has replicated two fake pieces of the 'Sindurpatta'. He decides to expose Tenali Rama and asks Krishnadevaraya to get his two wives for a grand celebration. Tenali must find a way to fight back.

Tahtacharya meets Sudhamini and gifts her the 'Sindurpatta'. At the court, Tenali Rama, Krishnadevaraya and Tathacharya are shocked when they see the two queens, Chinna Devi and Tirumalamba, wearing the 'Sindurpatta'.

Krishnadevaraya's queens are shocked when they see Sudhamini coming to the court to perform with the 'Sindurpatta' on her head. When Krishnadevaraya asks Tenali, he reveals a stunning secret.

After Tenali Rama exposes the messenger from Sundergad and the motive behind his intentions to share the 'Sindurpatta', Krishnadevaraya gets impressed with him. He announces that Tenali will be promoted as his special consultant.

Krishnadevaraya is furious when he learns that the people of Vijayanagar aren't intelligent. In order to make his empire strong, Tathacharya suggests that Tenali Rama presents eight fools in Krishnadevaraya's court.

Tenali Rama is caught in a dilemma when Krishnadevaraya asks him to present eight fools in his court. While is family members try to tell him that it is a trick, he is determined to find them. After much hunting, he manages to find his first fool.

Tenali continues his quest to present eight fools in Krishnadevaraya's court, and ends up visiting Tathacharya's home. However, when he sees him mocking and insulting his wife, he is forced to advice him and asks him to respect women.

After pronouncing Tathacharya and himself as the sixth and seventh fool, apart from the five he presents in court, Tenali Rama calls Krishnadevaraya as the eighth fool. Everyone is stunned. But Krishnadevaraya is enlightened by Tenali's talks.

Tenali teaches his son the meaning of Ganesh shlok. Later, another trouble comes in the way of Tenali Rama in the form of the diamond, which is supposed to be guarded by the royal guards.

After Tenali is assigned the responsibility of protecting the Chandramani, he requests Krishnadevaraya to give him a chance for organizing the entire function. Tathacharya is extremely upset when Tenali is chosen over him and plots his revenge.

Tenali Rama, who is down with a cold, welcomes all the guests for the grand occasion in Vijayanagar empire. Looking at Tenali sneezing continuously, Tathacharya asks Krishnadevaraya to hand him the responsibilities of taking care of the Chandramani.

Krishnadevaraya warns Tenali Rama of the importance of Chandramani and asks of him to take care of singers of his court who are still suffering from cold.

Tenali suspects that one amongst the five singers is the thief who is capable of stealing the Chandramani. In a bid to find out about them, Tenali visits each of them and gives them medicine.

Tenali Rama is shocked when he overhears Tathacharya's conversation and learns about his plan to steal the Chandramani. Krishnadevaraya performs pooja in front of the Ganesh idol.

On the tenth day of the Ganesh pooja, a special flower that blooms once in thousand years is brought to Krishnadevaraya's kingdom. During the pooja, everyone is surprised to see the Chandramani bloom inside the flower.

After the Ganesh pooja, a monkey enters Krishnadevaraya's kingdom and takes the Chandramani. A furious Krishnadevaraya yells at Tenali Rama for not paying attention to the security arrangements.

Tenali gets an ultimatum by Krishnadevaraya to find the Chandramani within two days and is in a dilemma. He seeks help and prays to Ganesha to provide him a solution.

Tathacharya and his disciples tell Krishnadevaraya about the consequences that will befall on those who disrespect Lord Ganesh's wishes. A worried Krishnadevaraya asks his guards to summon Tenali to the palace.

In order to expose the real thief of the Chandramani, Tenali Rama hands a pouch to everyone at Krishnadevaraya's court. He calls a monkey trainer and gets the monkey who stole the Chandramani.

Mithu, a new parrot, makes its way to the Vijayanagar empire, and Krishnadevaraya is astonished to see it talking like humans. The parrot reveals the fortunes of Krishnadevaraya, Tathacharya and Tenali Rama.

After Tenali Rama comes back from Krishnadevaraya's court, he finds himself constantly haunted by the parrot's words. He tries to arrive at the parrot's motive behind speaking ill of him.

When Tenali sees a ventriloquist performing, he discovers the secret to the parrot talking at Krishnadevaraya's court. He insists on learning the art form and pleads to the ventriloquist.

When Samsher Khan is unable to get the parrot to speak, Tenali uses his skills and speaks like the parrot. Sasher Khan is surprised and is forced to reveal his crimes.

Tenali is frightened when he hears various ghost tales from his mother and wife. At night, a mysterious beast disguised as an animal makes its way to Tenali's house. When Tenali sees it, he is scared.

A man enters Tathacharya's house wearing Bearskin. He tells Tathacharya about his habit of sleepwalking. Tathacharya presents this problem in front of Krishnadevaraya to seek a solution. Tathacharya asks Krishnadevaraya to appoint Tenali for the work. But, Tenali skillfully asks Krishnadevaraya to assign this work to Tathacharya as he is the senior person. Whom will Krishnadevaraya assign work to?

Scared Tathacharya and Dhani Mani enter the haunted house. They experience paranormal activity in the house. Dhani Mani leaves Tathacharya in the house and runs away.

Tenali and his family members enter the haunted house. Everyone runs away leaving Tenali when they encounter the ghost.

Tenali and Krishnadevaraya enter the haunted house but find nothing. Krishnadevaraya assigns Tenali to find Tathacharya with the help of Dhani Mani.

After coming from the mysterious and haunted palace, Tenali Rama reveals that it belongs to Venktaramanna. However, Tathacharya tries to reason with him. Tenali requests Krishnadevaraya to allow him to bring Venkataramanna's sons to share evidence. Will the mystery behind the haunted house finally be revealed?

Tenali presents Vishnu in the form of a Ghost before the Durbar. Vishnu tells those in attendance that anyone in the Ghost outfit will look similar.

On the occasion of Dussehra, Queen Chinna Devi and Queen Tirumalamba keep a fast for Krishnadevaraya's long life.

Tenali tells Krishnadevaraya that if the Ramleela performers are unable to come to Vijayanagara then esteemed members of this Darbar will perform Ramleela instead.

Krishnadevarayas is looking to renovate his ammunition for his army and he calls upon an "expert" to show off his inventions. King and his court are impressed by these inventions but when Krishnadevaraya puts his own life at risk to test a weapon, Tenali decides to act and put an end to this.

Krishnadevaraya asks Tenali to solve his dilemma: to keep mustache or not to keep one for Ram's character in Ramleela. Tathacharya gets shocked after knowing that he is no longer the director of Ramleela. Tathacharya gets scared and worried after meeting Guruprasad, the new director for Ramleela. How will Tathacharya's experience with Guruprasad?

SYNOPSIS Tathacharya annoys Guruprasad for giving him a fair opportunity to show his skills. After a long argument, Guruprasad assigns Tathacharya to play Ravan's role. Tenali is assigned to select other characters for Ramleela. During the rehearsal, Tenali notices a change in the colour of the wild berries. He prevents Krishnadevaraya from consuming it and consumes it himself. Will Tenali have any effects after consuming poisonous wild berries?

During the Ramleela rehearsal, Mantrivar and Tenali keep an eye on Krishnadevaraya's security. Tenali finds a suspicious Achyutadevaraya changing a wooden sword into a metal sword.

While the Ramlila is on at Krishnadevaraya's kingdom in full swing, Ghungroo plans to attack him during the Raavan Dahan. Tenali Rama watches everyone carefully to protect him.

Tathacharya and Tenali get irritated by Vamacharya for spreading Vastu fad across Vijayanagara. Meanwhile, after reaching Durbar, they notice Krishnadevaraya's throne being turned to the opposite side. But, Krishnadevaraya decides to keep the throne in its orginial position to make people believe that Vastu has no proven evidence to be true. Will Tenali find a better solution for the growing Vastu craze?

Tathacharya beats Dhani Mani for supporting Vamacharya. Varunmala tells Tathacharya that she got the knowledge of Vastu from his books. Meanwhile, Varunmala tells that she suggested Chinna Devi about vastu.

Tenali and Tathacharya notice that their chairs are facing the opposite direction as per the instructions of Chinna Devi. Tathacharya tactfully expresses his worries about Varunmala losing her mental balance.

Tenali returns home and notices that all the wooden pillars in the house are in their position. He finds that Amma has nailed all the wooden items of the house after Vamacharya's statement to remove pure wooden items from the house.

Upon King's request, Tenali takes the matter into his own hands and resolve the issue with 'Vasthu'. According to his plans, Chinna Devi calls upon Amma as she was convinced by Tenali that she could find the solution for any kind of problem.

As Vamacharya continues her efforts to establish the powers of Vasthu, as gets Tenali to a state where he couldn't even control his own head. Will Tenali be able to prove Vamacharya wrong ?

Tenali becomes the victim of his own success when King challenges him to do something impossible. Whereas Tattacharya continues to find ways to get Tenali into trouble.

Tathacharya plans to put Tenali in trouble in Darbar. He decides to call Atma Swami to prove that heaven exists. But, Atma Swami suddenly shouts on Tathacharya and tells him about his sins.

Rama gets worried after finding a note of his name in the basket. Meanwhile, Krishnadevaraya finds himself stuck in the situation where Tirumalamba serves him inedible food.

Tathacharya asks Rama out of concern to leave the state to stay alive. But Rama refuses Tathacharya's advice and moves towards funeral pyre.

Tathacharya gets depressed for plotting the death of Rama. He decides to apologize to Rama's family for his mistake. Tathacharya and Dhani Mani enter Rama's house. They get shocked to see Rama alive.

Timmarasu summons Rama to the court. But, he is not to be seen anywhere. When the King asks Shardha about the whereabouts of Rama, she replies wittily which traps the court members in the web of her witty words. What is Rama’s plan this time?

Rama plans to take sadhu's attire to hide from Tathacharya and Dhani-Mani. He enters Rajmata's temple and dupes her by lying of being a Sadhu from heaven.

Tathacharya tells darbar to wait for Rama till he comes. But after a while, Tathacharya gets worried as Rama does not come. Later, Krishnadevaraya asks Mantrivar to find a solution.

Tathacharya gets angry after everyone asks him the reason for wearing the turban. Meanwhile, Mantrivar tells that there are two brothers who claim their name as Suresham.

Dhani Mani enter Rama's house to keep hair removing oil as per Tathacharya's instructions. Meanwhile, they notice Gundappa coming, they close their eyes thinking no one will see them. Seeing Dhani Mani in the house, Rama decides to irritate them. Will Rama know the reason behind Dhani Mani entering his house?

Rama notices Gundappa wandering in the house holding a snake in his hand. Meanwhile, Tayhacharya rubs mud over his body to repel snakes. Later, Tathacharya tells Krishnadevaraya that Lord Shiva told him to donate the hair of an intelligent person. How will Rama save his hair?

Tathacharya excitedly arrives at Saudamini's house to meet her. Annoyed Saudamini chains Tathacharya and tells that she has a surprise for him.

Rama gets annoyed after listening to rooster's crowing in the early morning. Rama gets angry after Shubhalakshmi refuses to calm the crowing rooster.

Dhani Mani enters Rajmahal to catch the rooster as per Tathacharya's order. Meanwhile, Krishnadevaraya listens to some sounds and arrives at Vasudev's room to find the reason behind rooster's crowing. Later, Vasudev gets on hunger-strike for not finding his rooster. Will Krishnadevaraya find Vasudev's rooster?

Rama tells Gundappa that he brought rooster to keep it safe from the people who want to kill the rooster. He also tells that he tried to hide the rooster in the forest but, it followed him home.

Gundappa tells Rama that Dhani Mani took Vasudev's rooster. Meanwhile, Dhani Mani surprises Tathacharya by showing him Vasudev's rooster.

Sharda tells Amma that Rama is sleeping even after having a bath. Amma decides to wake up Rama and scold him for not helping anyone. Meanwhile, Amma tells that while returning from the temple, she saw Devaiya Kaka asking everyone to help him with farm work. Will Amma tell Rama to help Devaiya Kaka on the farm?

Tathacharya presents Rama's forgetfulness in the court. Tathacharya tries to convince the court by telling everyone Dhani Mani's experience with Rama. Meanwhile, Krishnadevaraya decides to take Rama's test by asking a few questions. Will Rama be able to prove his innocence?

Tathacharya bribes a physician to medicate Rama to erase his memory. The physician gives the medicine to Sharda lying that it is for Rama's good health. After consuming the medicine, Rama loses his memory and forgets his own house. Will Rama get his memory back?

Rama forgets everything because of Tathacharya's medicine. Rama unknown to the fact that he is working in Darbar, asks Krishnadevaraya to give him work in the Darbar. Will Rama be able to get his memory back?

Rama plans to take revenge on Tathacharya with the help of the doctor's medicine. The Doctor agrees to give Tathacharya a medicine that will make him behave senselessly.

Krishnadevaraya asks Rama to find a solution for making Tathacharya normal. Rama tells Krishnadevaraya that Tathacharya should be treated with multiple-personality inducing medicine. Will the medicine be useful for Tathacharya or have side effects?

Tathacharya brings a pot full of almonds as present to the Sultan's answer. But, Mantrivar rejects his idea of presenting almonds. Meanwhile, Rama arrives in the Darbar with a pot of intellect.

Krishnadevaraya decides to send Rama and Tathacharya to meet Sultan. Krishnadevaraya tells Mantrivar to showcase Rama's jar of intelligence and gold jar in the empire to praise Rama's intelligence. Will Rama enjoy his trip to Sultan's empire or face challenges?

Ghungru makes Tathacharya and Dhani Mani unconscious and changes the identity letter of Krishnadevaraya. Dhani Mani and Tathacharya notices Ghungru missing next morning. Meanwhile, everyone reaches to the Sultan's empire. How will be Rama's experience in Sultan's empire?

Dhani Mani request Sultan to cancel their punishment, but Sultan rejects their request. Meanwhile, Tathacharya asks Rama to use his intelligence for saving them.

Tathacharya asks Rama to find a solution to escape death. Meanwhile, Sultan's Fakir Baba listens to the conversation between them. Rama tells Tathacharya and Dhani to fake happiness for the death sentence. Will Sultan cancel Rama and Tathacharya's death sentence?

Krishnadevaraya wakes up from a nightmare, and immediately calls a meeting in Darbar. Tathacharya, Rama, and Mantrivar get eager to know the reason behind calling a meeting in the middle of the night. Why Krishnadevaraya called everyone to meet him?

Mohini tells Krishnadevaraya that she is the most intelligent person in the world. Krishnadevaraya tells her that she has some misunderstanding as there are more intelligent people. Mohini challenges Krishnadevaraya that if someone defeats her, she will do whatever the winner tells. Krishnadevaraya selects Rama for the challenge. Will Rama defeat Mohini?

Mohini arrives at Tathacharya's house to convince him to help her win over Rama. Pandit Rama Krishna arrives in the darbar for the competition. Meanwhile, Tathacharya tells the rules of the competition to Mohini and Rama. Will Rama win the competition?

Rama successfully answers the question Mohini asks him. Meanwhile, Tathacharya continuously tries to help Mohini win the competition. Later, Tathacharya shuts the timer before its end and announces Rama's defeat. How will Krishnadevaraya react to Rama's defeat?

Krishnadevaraya rejects Rama's defeat and tells Mohinidevi that each contestant should get an equal chance. Krishnadevaraya tells Mohinidevi that Rama will ask her questions. Krishnadevaraya also adds that if Rama loses, Krishnadevaraya will keep his crown on Mohinidevi's feet. Will Rama win the challenge?

Krishnadevaraya decides to take the second chance where Rama asks questions and Mohinidevi answers. But Mohinidevi fails to answer Rama's two questions. Rama decides to give Mohinidevi second third chance in the competition. Will Mohinidevi win her third chance?

Mantrivar tells Krishnadevaraya that Prasanna from Belamkundagram wants to meet him. Prasanna tells that his daughter wants Krishnadevaraya to choose a suitable husband among two people Prasanna came within darbar. How will Krishnadevaraya solve Prasanna's issue?

Amma, Sharda, and Gundappa tell Rama that they want to attain Boxing. Rama refuses as he finds it offensive. But, Amma manages to make agree Rama fulfill her wish to watch boxing.

Rama gets worried after participating in the wrestling match. Sharda and Amma give sympathy to Rama and offers him almonds for energy. Rama tells that he asked for two days before the match to think about the match.

Rama arrives at the wrestling ground to pray for god for his fight. Rama cleverly puts jaggary around the wooden rod which as per the competition has to be pulled out of the mud. Next day Rama arrives on the ground for the match. Will Rama win the match?

Tathacharya forces Rama to participate in wrestling against Durjan. Rama gets worried after looking at Durjan's physical fitness and experience in wrestling. He decides to confuse Durjan by asking him vague questions till Mantrivar returns. Will Rama win the match?

Mantrivar and Rama get worried to see Krishnadevaraya coming late in the darbar. Meanwhile, Krishnadevaraya arrives in the darbar and starts the work of the darbar. Mantrivar tells Krishnadevaraya that they have to give punishment to the detective of enemy empire. How will Krishnadevaraya decide the punishment to the traitor?

Krishnadevaraya's identical arrives in the darbar and tells that he is the real king Krishnadevaraya. To prove the truth, the identical reminds Rama and Tathacharya of visiting the jungle for hunting a few days back. How will Rama solve this issue?

Mantrivar and Rama plans to present a neckless to one of the Krishnadevaraya's identical to identify them easily. Rama and Mantrivar follow both of them to find out who takes the wrong turn to the guest room. But Rama and Mantrivar get confused after seeing both taking the right path. How will Rama solve the issue of real Krishnadevaraya?

Everyone in the darbar gets worried to see both of the Krishnadevaraya give all the answers perfectly. Rama decides to ask a question both Krishnadevaraya's about his first meet with him. Both end up saying that they remember what happened on Rama's first visit, but cannot remember what Rama said to Krishnadevaraya. How will Rama solve the issue?

Queen Tirumalamba prepares tomato gulab jamun for one of Krishnadevaraya to find the real King. Krishnadevaraya tells Rama to announce him as fake king, but save him from Queen Tirumalamba's food. How will Rama distinguish between identical King?

Krishnadevaraya finds out that Sultan Shamsuddin has betrayed him and has attacked Vijayanagara. Both of the Krishnadevaraya ahead on the battlefield to warn Sultan Shamsuddin. Sultan and Fakir get shocked to see two Krishnadevaraya. Will Rama be able to find Real King Krishnadevaraya before the war?

Rama tells everyone that the person who had a fight with Sultan Shamsuddin is the real king. But, everyone gets confused as Rama changes his statement saying another person who stayed back in the fight is the real king because of his calm attitude towards understanding the situation first before reacting. Vijayanagara Empire celebrates Krishnadevaraya's Rajya Abhishek. Krishnadevaraya decides to give presents to Mantrivar, Tathacharya, and Rama for being the special person in the darbar. Rama tells Krishnadevaraya that he has no hair on his hand because of his always lending attitude. Due to Rama's clever answers, Krishnadevaraya gives him more presents. Will Tathacharya feel jealous?

Tathacharya invites Marquis De Pompadour to his house with a plan to suborn him against Rama.
