1. You’re the Dads Now!
Believing they were careful in choosing an out of the way location for the transaction, two sides in a drug deal get busted. A young man revisits his old bedroom, he in the process discovering something troubling about his strongest childhood memories. A native Albertan, Vance addresses the issue of Alberta succession despite he no longer living there. Bob, holding a video meeting with his staff working from home, tests their so-called professionalism in this pandemic driven situation. A hip-hop artist at a club takes offense to the crowd mimicking his lyrics. Three friends, gathering at one's house to watch the basketball game, do whatever they can to avoid holding the fourth's baby. In dooring one, a man shows how much he loves bike couriers. And the situation of two men trying to escape through the forest from an ax-wielding ogre changes due to diversification, and another issue the sign of the times.
2. Refreshingly Not Racist
In this time of COVID-19, a specific organization will always be there especially for front line workers. After a get together, a man doesn't accept the offer from a friend for a ride home as he has a Dad Ride. After everyone arrives at the business meeting with their Movember mustaches, one doesn't feel like he is man enough compared to the others. A couple on a date believe they are totally in sync, that is until the end of the meal as dictated by the waiter. A man raps about his new mansion in which he rents out certain sections to make payments. Vance's friends are shocked to learn he actually knows the name of his neighbor, something not done in the big city. At NBI headquarters, Special Agent Dan Tully, assigned to human resources to investigate employee human rights complaints, gets a different spin on the job in the organization's core business of investigating paranormal activity that the bureau doesn't want made public.
3. Poetry in Falsetto
It is seemingly a win-win-win (and perhaps additional win-win) situation for two friends visiting a virtual reality game arcade for the first time. With the President having been kidnapped, discussions may cross the line in the Pentagon war room. A drug lord raps about the key to his success in all aspects. The four have a heated discussion about who is responsible for the dirty bowl in the kitchen sink, the result of the discussion which has longer term consequences and brings certain things to light, like who actually cleans around the apartment. One of a group of friends going out for the evening learns where he ranks. A devotee of the latter explains the difference between goth and emo. And Antonio Ferrari, in an ad for his pizzeria, tells the best way to order a pizza.
4. Why Is He Blowing Me Kisses?
American movie star Dash Orr is being interviewed on the red carpet by e-buzz Canada's Ken Tam at TIFF, Dash talking about what he's learned since being in the country. Two friends discuss clothes shopping in a bricks and mortar store during the pandemic as opposed to online. Tim takes the viewer behind the scenes at the show with an unwitting Vance to discuss an issue of cultural importance. Tim shows off his new smartphone to the guys, it the latest model of his last phone. A group of male private high school students are predicting their futures on making or missing a bunch of basketball free throws. For a date, a couple go to illusionist Serpantine's magic show, they noticing the general theme of the act. And a couple, having just moved into an unusually affordable house, have to deal with the unknown late night noises emanating from somewhere inside, they assuming made by some sort of urban wildlife.
5. Leave the Duckies and Go
Bryce Tyson, CEO of BYO Oil, is making a personal plea for fostering some of his babies. The guys are taking a break dancing class taught by Touché at the community center, or so they think, that is unless they can use the skills learned at the one and only class taken thus far. A couple are sharing their birthing video with their best friends. A group of "businessmen" rap about laundering dirty money in the age of COVID-19. Vance talks about the fact that it is illegal to be native in Canada, and what he has done about it. During a business meeting, the managers receive a delivery. Jasper tells his two friends how he plans to propose to his girlfriend, Fiona. And in a new employee getting a tour of the office, he has issue with the proximity of the restroom to everything else.
6. All the Focus is on the Diamonds
The day for two couples walking through the park, both sets having the best day ever in their love for each other, changes when they encounter each other. Franco and his wife, in she just having given birth, now face the most difficult part of being parents. Worlds collide when singer and former child star J'onothon is in the recording studio in a collaboration with rapper and former murder suspect Butcha C, the session under the engineering talents of Kid Kyle. Only chosen families and not literal families can participate on the new game show "Chosen Family Few" hosted by Colin Mochrie, whose actions are negatively affecting the performance of Vance of the Roommates team. The staff and customers in a bank holdup by masked men hope for a super hero to save them. And George, in reminiscing about Chase and Virgil who were once in his life, decides what to do about Troy's request to walk home together.
7. I Rank Velvet #1
In a commercial, Frank "The Butcher" Machleveti of Machleveti and Associates tells *you* what to do when you're angry and don't know what to do about it. Gary and his therapist make simultaneous confessions to each other. Guled opens up about what he does and what he wants to do when he is challenged to a fight even when the other person is in the wrong. Andy and a studio executive discuss the edits they made to Andy's movie without his consent. After the fall of civilization, two podcasters discuss the nature of their broadcasts. What to do when a customer at a restaurant asks for super spicy when the menu item is purportedly super spicy already. On the next episode of Floopy's World, Floopy provides advice on how to watch movies for free. And following Vance's last wishes, Franco, Guled and Tim have just buried him in High Park.
8. Who’s Guarding the Angel?
On veteran Guled's advice, the guys attend their first storage locker auction, the unknown contents in the oldest locker in the complex the one being auctioned. In purchasing the locker with their rent money, they find they don't know what to do with what they find inside, which touches upon their deepest emotions core to them as human beings. In the process, they will discover if they have a price regardless. The Toronto Rap Battle Finals are being held, one contestant who may have the upper hand in having done his research. Two detectives with the police department are so "close on this case", when they come up with the answers in the semantics. Vance stars in the TallBoyz production of "52 Naps" as the guy who awakens not to know who or where he is. And in a game of three on three, one player has some pretty specific trash talk for the one he is guarding.
