Documentary series about people who have been conned out of money and left broken-hearted by someone they met on holiday. Music promoter Kim married handsome Senegalese musician Laye when she was 49 and he was 43, but after five years of marriage, posts on social media led her to fear that he was seeing other women. Care worker Julie met Gambian Lamin in 2008. The couple set up home together in the UK, but he left her shortly after his visa was confirmed. Dee was left by her Tunisian husband in 2009 and American Linda discovered that her online love was not exactly as he had described himself.
