Something in the Rain Season 1

From a breakup to work stress, life isn't all that peachy for 35-year-old Yoon Jina. Meanwhile, Seo Joonhee arrives back in Korea after three years abroad.

One of Jina's co-workers takes a liking to Joonhee. Jina's mom begins to worry because Jina isn't preparing to get married like others her age.

Lee Gyumin goes around saying that Jina likes Joonhee, but no one believes him. Joonhee seems to think Jina wants to get back together with Gyumin.

Although happily in love, Jina still has concerns about her relationship. She volunteers to go on a business trip that no one else wants to take on.

Setting aside her guilt, Jina spends the night at Joonhee's place. Back at work after the business trip, she gets called to Director Nam Hogyeon's office.

For Joonhee, keeping his relationship a secret starts to get frustrating. President Jo Gyeongshik asks the female employees to bring forth their grievances.

Yoon Seungho is angry with Joonhee. Jina runs into issues while trying to replace her broken smartphone because the account is under Gyumin's name.

When no one seems to know where Jina is, Joonhee starts to panic. Worried for her safety, he tries to get hold of Gyumin.

Refusing help from her dad and Joonhee, Jina plans to break the news to her mom and Seo Gyeongseon herself, but it doesn't go as smoothly as she hoped.

As everyone predicted, Jina's mom reacts rather melodramatically to Jina's news, injuring herself and hurting others' feelings in the process.

Joonhee is more concerned about Jina's feelings than his own and refuses to give up his relationship with Jina despite her mom's hurtful words.

With Gyeongseon and Joonhee's dad sitting close by, Jina isn't able to focus on her blind date, who takes notice and obviously isn't pleased.

Furious at Jina, Joonhee cuts off communication with her completely, which makes her worry. Joonhee's dad calls Jina's dad and asks to meet.

After making her shocking announcement, Jina pays a surprise late-night visit to Joonhee's place. Jina is told by her mom to move out of the house.

Jina tries to keep her housing situation a secret from Joonhee. Meanwhile at Jina's company, there's much scheming going on behind her back.

Memories of their happy past come flooding back when Jina and Joonhee see each other for the first time in months, but this only adds to their pain.
