1. Donna Yaklich
A 31-year-old woman is married to a Pueblo CO, narcotics detective, while raising a son and four stepchildren on the family's farm. One December evening in 1985, shots rang out and her husband is killed. Suspicion immediately falls on the criminals was investigating. However, when the police learn of his troubled home life, they begin to suspect that the murderer may be closer to home.
2. Yesenia Patino
An exotic 34-year-old brunette was living very comfortably thanks to her generous, and married, lover. In February of 1991, the married lover's wealthy wife was brutally murdered while on vacation in Mexico. Arizona authorities opened their own investigation, suspicious of her husband and his mistress. (also shown as S7:E33, S8:E3)

A German woman fell in love with an American serviceman; they married and moved to Colorado. After 15 years of marriage, the mother of three wanted to return home. Instead, in July of 1996, she hacked her husband to death with an axe, but was she acting in self defense?
4. Jeena Han
Native South Korean identical twin sisters overcame a difficult childhood to become co-valedictorians in high school. They both seemed headed for success until, at 23, one of them developed a gambling habit and began stealing and forging checks to pay her debts. When she needed help, her twin sister took her in, even though they had a love/hate relationship. Their sibling rivalry would eventually escalate to burglary, identity theft and murder.
5. Dora Cisneros
A doctor's wife and mother of five led an ordinary suburban life in Brownsville, TX. She lavished attention on her youngest daughter. In 1993, that youngest daughter was dumped by her high school sweetheart. When he was later found dead, who was guilty of murder?
6. Kimberley Kondejewski
A meek woman married her high school sweetheart, a Canadian Army instructor. He soon became an abusive, controlling husband. After two children and 17 years of abuse, he told her to commit suicide, so he could get rich, or he would kill her and their children. On May 14th, he was dead.
7. Mary Thompson
She crusaded against gangs and helped police gain convictions, and became a prominent and celebrated local hero in the Eugene community. She was outspoken about her son's struggle to stay out of gangs and about the dangers other children in the community faced. She even teamed up with a popular high school senior to educate other students on gang violence. But when that student was executed in his home, police began to suspect that Mary wasn't leveling with them. They soon reveal a much darker side.
8. Laura Rogers
When a divorced woman married for the second time, she thought she'd be happy; however, her new husband turned out to be controlling and abusive. He used his contracting work to move the family often and isolate them from friends and relatives. Then, in April of 2004, her husband was killed by a single shotgun blast and she claimed it was suicide.
9. Linda Lou Charbonneau
A woman was with her partner of 20 years before leaving him for his young nephew. In September 2001, her ex was found dead. Just a few weeks later in October, her husband is also dead. Was she a Black Widow, or an unwitting dupe?
10. Stella Nickell
A wife was settled into a comfortable life with her husband, living together in a trailer on a few acres with a view of Washington's Mt. Rainer. Then, in June of 1986, her husband dropped dead on the deck of the trailer. Though doctors said it was emphysema, she swore it was the Excedrin he'd taken just moments before his collapse.
11. Kim Anderson
As a blonde, beautiful and ambitious woman, she never had any trouble finding success or successful men. In fact, by the time she was 34, she had been married to two of them, and had given birth to two children by each. Her second husband was a successful divorce attorney from the nearby town of Celina. Shortly after the birth of her fourth child, her marriage began to falter and they started going through a divorce. When it turned nasty, she shot her husband. Pleading self-defence, she was acquitted in court, but the dead man's family wasn't satisfied.
12. Gail Bennett
Raised on a Texas farm, a young woman spent her childhood taking care of her siblings. When she left home, she began a string of bad marriages and by 1990, she was filing for her third divorce. With one daughter grown, and a son living with her second ex-husband, she was at a crossroads in her life. That's when ex-husband number three convinced her to come back to him. She was a battered hhousewife and eventually she shot and wounded her violent spouse. Instead of protecting her, the local sheriff raped her. Then, she filed a civil suit to fight for justice.
13. Deidra Lane
As the wife of a successful football star and mother of two, she seemed to lead a charmed life. But when she shot her husband dead at point-blank range, she pleaded self-defense. She claims that abuse is what caused her to shoot her husband, but police find that years earlier she had committed the crime of larceny.
