Ski Sunday 2020: Episode Guide & Ratings

Ski Sunday returns for 2020 with slalom racing from Zagreb, Croatia. The team chat to superstar Mikaela Shiffrin, who hopes to be crowned snow queen for the third year running, and also sees whether Dave Ryding can secure Britain's first ever World Cup victory. Following the racing, Jenny Jones goes to the British Championships to meet one of the most inspiring snowboarders you could wish to meet – double amputee Darren Swift.

This week’s edition of the iconic winter sports magazine show comes from Adelboden for the start of the classics season. Presented by Ed Leigh and Graham Bell. Twenty thousand Swiss racing fans are in attendance for the men's slalom, where home favourite Daniel Yule is chasing victory against a stellar field, including Britain's Dave Ryding. And there are highlights of the women's World Cup downhill from Zauchensee, Austria.

Ski Sunday this week comes from Switzerland, home to two iconic but very different competitions. The historic men's downhill raced on the infamous Lauberhorn track, the longest on the World Cup circuit, is featured, along with highlights of the Laax Open - Europe's biggest snowboarding contest, where the best riders in the world take on the Slopestyle course and half-pipe.

This week's programme comes from Kitzbuhel, home of the Hahnenkamm – the most celebrated and notorious ski race in the world. For the field of men's downhill racers, the Streif course in Austria offers the biggest challenge and richest prize on the World Cup. Also in the show, we hear from the incredible Max Parrot, a big air snowboarder who battled cancer last year and returned to the sport to take X Games gold.

Ski Sunday this week comes from the historic town of Garmisch Partenkirchen, the host venue for the Winter Olympics in 1936 Nazi Germany. It is now home to one of the toughest downhills on the World Cup tour, where the fastest women on skis do battle for victory. Following the racing, the team catch up with a group of snowboarders for whom competitions and results mean little - the No Medals Crew - who are filming their latest movie.

The final Ski Sunday of the series comes from Saalbach, the Austrian resort hosting the rearranged Olympic downhill test event. There are also highlights from the freeski World Cup in Calgary, Canada.
