It's the happiest day of their lives for Greg and his new bride as they celebrate their wedding with a dessert pudding bar. But not everyone is having a great time: best man Timmy is cynical and alone, cousin of the bride Caroline is self-conscious and timid, and the bride's jilted ex-boyfriend and his unemployed mother decide to crash the wedding.

As this fairy tale goes, when the magical rose blossoms the forest will be changed forever as the reigning elf king dies and his son transforms from human to elf and becomes the new ruler. But the prince, having fallen in love with a human, is desperate to stop the rose from blooming and separating him from his true love.

In this Regency era masterpiece, warring nobles, Lady Broath and Countess Duchess, seek to control the newly imported alligator population. Exacerbated by a meddling neighbor, a family member with a dark agenda, and potential suitors, the tension between these noble women continues to grow.
