Motivational speaking mogul and author James Malinchak leaves his jet-setting life behind to live in Gary, Indiana, a city hit hard by the economic downturn. He will spend a week living on welfare level wages in a rundown neighborhood. While there, he will spend time volunteering where his help is needed most, searching for deserving people and organizations that are making a real difference, and will surprise these heroes with donations of thousands of dollars from his own fortune.

Entrepreneur and millionaire Ali Brown abandons her lavish lifestyle and luxurious California beachside home to live and volunteer among the homeless in the gritty surf town of Venice Beach, CA. While there, she will search her heart to find deserving people and causes that are making a real and lasting difference in their community, and ultimately will give away many thousands of dollars of her own wealth.
