Season 1 Plot
A man who does not believe in love, falls for a woman who has been hurt by it. Jo Minhyeok is wealthy, with everything but a good personality. He’s been enraged and consumed by the need for revenge, ever since he learnt his lover was the victim of a hit-and-run accident. Kang Yoojeong takes the blame for her boyfriend, the actual driver at the time of the accident. In time, she will feel betrayed for having done so. Now in prison and in a state of despair, Yoojeong still refuses to give up on life entirely.

Season 1 Episodes
1. Episode 1
Kang Yoojeong is imprisoned for a crime she didn't commit, and she's got a prosecutor's fiancée who isn't helpful after running over an innocent woman.
2. Episode 2
Jo Minhyeok's girlfriend couldn't be saved, which leads him to insanity. Yoojeong fights for her innocence against charges and learn more about Seo Jihee.
3. Episode 3
Minhyeok challenges Ahn Dohoon to practice lawfully in his girlfriend's case, as he is challenged by his father to win Shin Seyeon's heart.
4. Episode 4
Yoojeong faces problems as she delivers her baby in prison, making Dohoon rethink what he's done to Yoojeong's life, and Minhyeok pays her a visit.
5. Episode 5
The freedom she deserves is finally back to Yoojeong. Unfortunately, her release costs her more than she expects.
6. Episode 6
Jeonghwan's death still haunts Yoojeong emotionally. Minhyeok's father is hesitant about a deal Minhyeok plans on signing with Seyeon.
7. Episode 7
After Minhyeok saves Yoojeong's life, Seyeon scolds him for being childish by pouring his anger on others. Dohoon discovers a mysterious photo.
8. Episode 8
Yoojeong is working for Minhyeok to repay her debts. Dohoon investigates the photo he found, and Minhyeok faces a dismissal case he didn't expect.
9. Episode 9
As Minhyeok is aware of Yoojeong's relationships, Dohoon begs her to stop paying the debts and stay away from the man who caused it all.
10. Episode 10
Minhyeok ends it all with Seyeon and further gives Yoojeong struggles as his new housemaid. Yoojeong finds something new about her dad and Minhyeok.
11. Episode 11
Dohoon meets up with Seyeon late at night, while Minhyeok admits his side of the story with Yoojeong's father, leading them in different directions.
12. Episode 12
Dohoon catches Yoojeong with Minhyeok in a steamy encounter. More things change as the tensions heat up between Yoojeong, Minhyeok, and Dohoon.
13. Episode 13
Minhyeok and Yoojeong's kiss breaks Seyeon's heart. Dohoon is there for Seyeon as Minhyeok falls in love, leaving Yoojeong confused.
14. Episode 14
Minhyeok and Yoojeong visit Jihee's remains. He promises never to leave Yoojeong behind, as he falls deeper in love with her, which displeases many.
15. Episode 15
Dohoon asserts that he is the only one who can protect Yoojeong after confronting Minhyeok. Seyeon makes Dohoon choose whether to live or crumble.
16. Episode 16
Proof of Jeonghwan's life emerges, which changes the direction of their fate as a family, and Minhyeok asks about a secret Yoojeong doesn't reveal.
