1. Small Town Welcome
Sarah Richardson’s 'forever home' in Creemore, ON is finished; but instead of taking a much deserved break – she’s jumped head first into a new project. Along with her husband Alex and long-time collaborator Tommy, Sarah’s snapped up a century old Victorian house in original condition... and her plan is to tear down, build up and transform it into the perfect all-season luxury vacation property. Sarah has just six months until the booming rental season hits - and to make things extra challenging, she’s taking it off the grid!
2. A Crack in the Foundation
Sarah’s plan to add a two-storey addition to her off the grid vacation home hits a low point when she discovers she’s not on firm ground.
3. Bridging the Gap
Sarah dug deep – and now it’s time to build up as the plans for a second-storey principal suite come together in her luxury off the grid rental. But a family vacation falls smack in the middle of the reno.
4. A Tale of Two Houses
Sarah and Tommy’s plans for the living room need to include all the features of a cozy apres-ski lounge but Sarah needs to make some smart choices on where to splurge and where to save.
5. Agree to Disagree
The heart of every Sarah Richardson project is the kitchen and this one is a double-sized dream space. Tommy frets that it’s just too big – as if that’s even possible!
6. Design Twice, Build Once
The interiors of Sarah’s off the grid vacation rental are finished but the exteriors are a whole other story. Sarah needs to find a way to bring curb appeal to this century home – and do it on a shoe-string budget.
