A heatwave strikes the beach as John tries to track down a man who robbed the local diner and it patrons. Hayen tries to help Jamie deal with motel life.

Grandma tries to prevent a construction comapny from developing a ocean side park. This is the same company that put the motel out of business.

John suspects that Jamie is being followed by someone hired by her father. Turner asks by his grandmother to help him avoid Latin class.

Art robs a bank and claims that he has no memory of doing it. John isn't convinced. Chris and Jeff try to get ready for a fire drill without the school knowing about it.

Loring is force to arrest a deputy for drunk driving and Chris and Jeff go on a secret road trip to get an idol's autograph.
