Season 3 Plot
Series about striking railways in the world. Each episode travels along a number of special locations, where the train serves as a guide and there is also attention for the landscape and culture.

Season 3 Episodes
1. Ecuador: Quito - Riobamba - Bucay
The spectacular journey through Ecuador starts at an altitude of 2,850 meters in the capital Quito, on the way to the famous Devil's Nose, and finally arrives in Riobamba. The train not only offers seats in the beautiful wooden carriages, you can even travel on the roof.
2. New Zealand: Wellington - Picton - Blenheim - Kaikoura - Chistchurch - Arthur's Pass - Dunedin - Queenstown
The boat is taken from Wellington to the southern island of New Zealand. There a journey begins along the coast, via Kaikoura to Christchurch. The well-known TranzAlpine then travels through the mountains. A colony of penguins is also visited with the Taiera Gorge.
3. Switzerland: Through Graubunden: Chur - Filisur - Bergün - Brusio & Chur - Landquart - Davos
With the famous Bernina Express we travel in the winter through the Alps, through deep gorges and very narrow train viaducts. In addition to a trip in a super fast sledge, we also travel in a beautiful steam train to the famous ski resort of Davos.
4. Zimbabwe & South-Africa: Victoria Falls - Bulawayo - Germiston - Pretoria
The extremely luxurious train from Rovos Rail starts at the famous Victoria Falls and leads us to the beautiful National Park Hwange. In Bulawayo the beautiful steam train 'Pride of Africa' is connected and we travel further to Pretoria.
5. Mexico: Los Mochis - Bahuichivo - Divisadero - Creel - Chihuahua
With the luxurious train South Orient Express we are offered a wonderful panaroma of the Mexican landscape. One of the world's largest valleys, Copper Canyon, is also visited. The end point is Chihuahua, known for the small dogs of the same name.
6. Austria: Vienna - Bruck an der Mur - Schladming - Salzburg - Innsbruck
Our magnificent journey through Austria begins in Vienna, the musical city. Across the old Semmering Bridge and along picturesque villages and towns such as Innsbruck. We travel the nostalgic Schafberg lift in the Salzburg area. We end with a steam train on the Zillertalbahn.
7. Namibia: Tsumeb - Otjiwarongo - Swakopmund - Mariental - Fish River Canyon
With the Shongololo Express we pass through the spectacular landscape of Namibia. The second largest valley in the world, Fish River Canyon, we extend to the red dunes of Namib Desert. This journey is shaped by the games in Etosha National Park.
8. France and Corsica: Nice - St. André les Alpes & Calvi - L'Île-Rousse - Ponte Leccia - Bastia - Ajaccio
From the fashion-conscious Nice, several small towns are visited by train in Provence. From Nice, however, Corsica is also visited by ferry, where the turbulent past is discovered in Calvi and Ajaccio, amidst deserted mountains and a beautiful coast.
9. United States Clarkdale - Perkinsville & Williams - Flagstaff
This journey takes us through the deserted desert, with rocks and red sand, to the center of Arizona: Phoenix, a modern oasis of stone, glass and metal, skyscrapers and palm trees. From there continue by train River Verde, along Williams and Route 66, to the Grand Canyon.
10. Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City - Đà Nẵng - Huế - Hanoi
The connection of North and South Vietnam makes it possible to travel by train between the former Saigon and Hanoi. Stopovers during the long journey of more than 36 hours not only give you rest, but also the possibility to visit places like Nha Thrang, Hoi An and Hue.
11. Israel: Jerusalem - Tel Aviv - Haifa - Naharia
Starting in Jerusalem, the religious center of the world, to the modern city of Tel Aviv. From there towards the old seaside resort of Haifa with ultramodern trains. In addition to the tourists, a stopover in the beach town of Ceasarea also shows an aqueduct and a recently excavated amphitheater.
12. China: Beijing - Zhengzhou - Wuhan - Guangzhou - Hong Kong
Since Hong Kong is back under Chinese rule, there is a direct train connection with Bejing. The long journey takes us to busy cities such as Zhengzhou, Wuban and Guangzhou. In Hong Kong we make a short trip with the Pikes Peak Railway to get a good impression of this metropolis.
13. Germany: Along the Rhine: Cologne - Bonn - Koblenz - Cochem - Trier
The focus is on the Deutsche Bundesbahn. From one of the oldest German cities, Cologne, we follow the busiest river in Europe, the Rhine. With the intercity we visit Bonn and Königswinter, from where a ride on the electric train Die Drachenfelsbahn is made.
