Season one pulls back the curtain on the filmmaking process from start to finish, offering a unique, 360-look into director Meko Winbush's experience as she directs her first feature film, Gray Matter.

1. The Best Kind of Problem
After screening thousands of submissions, Issa, Kumail, and Gina select ten talented female filmmakers for a shot at directing their first feature.
2. Future Meko's Problem
As prep starts on Gray Matter, Meko turns to the mentors for advice. Later, Meko grapples with the pressures of pre-production.
3. The Script Problem
After weeks of stalling, Meko must make progress on the script, while a last-minute staffing change throws production for a loop.
4. The Casting Problem
Issa’s team holds a roundtable to address creative differences on the script. Later, pushback over casting forces Meko to stand up for her vision.
5. The Tyler Problem
Faced with a surprise resignation and mounting script notes, Meko faces an important meeting with studio executives.
