2. Greenbank, WV - The Only Tech-Free Haven in the US
In 1956, the world's largest radio-observatory was built in the mountains of West Virginia. Because of this, a mandate disallowing devices that emit electrical frequencies was put into place. Today, that same mandate is in place, outlawing Wifi and cellphones. This attracts a community of electromagnetic sensitive people seeking a life in the 1950s.
3. Slab City, CA - America's Last Lawless Land
In the middle of the California desert, without food, running water, electricity, or sewage... 1500 squatters congregate to make up the last lawless land in America.
4. Subtropolis - The World's Largest Underground Business Complex
Hiding 150 feet below Kansas City is a 55 million square foot cave that hosts a wide array of businesses seeking to cut costs and utilize the underground for efficiency. Here, you will find 500,000 original Hollywood film rolls, two billion dollars worth of stamps, one of America's largest collections of cheese, and the safest data center in the world.
5. Maharishi Vedic City - The Most Progressive City in America
Located near Fairfield in the middle of Iowa is the most progressive city in America. Their ideals are entirely experimental, making it one of the first experiments ever conducted on a community.
6. Chicago's Illegal Street Racing Community
From super-cars to junkers, we see it all. Harris and Chris even stumble into a Miata meet up, and drift beneath the city on Lower Wacker Drive - all while attempting to evade the police.
7. Crater of Diamonds - The World's Only Public Diamond Mine
There is only one place on earth where anyone and everyone can mine for diamonds - Arkansas. This unlikely location has produced a number of the most precious gems ever discovered.
8. Iowa 80 - The World's Largest Truck Stop
Located in the middle of the US is a place for truckers to rest, relax and enjoy the wonders of the world's largest truck stop.
