1. Herbert Cukurs (The Hangman Of Riga)
Nazi Hunters examines how Israeli secret service agents traveled to South America to assassinate Nazi war criminal Herbert Cukurs. Known as the Hangman of Riga, Cukurs was responsible for the deaths of over 30,000 Latvian Jews. A Mossad agent working under the name 'Anton Kunzle' had him shot in a remote suburb of Montevideo, Uruguay.
2. Adolf Eichmann (Architect Of The Holocaust)
Nazi Hunters examines the capture of Adolf Eichmann considered by many to be one of the main architects of the Holocaust. Eichmann was captured outside of his home near Buenos Aires in Argentina by Mossad agents. He was taken to Israel where he was tried for war crimes and later executed.
3. Klaus Barbie (The Butcher Of Lyon)
Nazi Hunters looks at how the husband and wife team of Serge and Beate Klarsfeld worked tirelessly to have Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie extradited from Bolvia to stand trail in France. Barbie known as "The Butch of Lyon" was responsible for the deaths of 10,000 French Jews.
4. Erich Priebke (Assassin Of Rome)
Nazi Hunters examines how, a half-century after the war, American journalists track down former Gestapo officer Erich Priebke. Priebke who was responsible for some of Italy's worst atrocities fled to Argentina after the war. He led a life of relative obscurity until he was confronted by journalists from ABC News in the 1990s.
5. Joseph Mengele (Angel Of Death)
Nazi Hunters examines how Mossad agents from Israel spent nearly thirty years tracking the notorious Nazi physician Josef Mengele. After the war, Mengele flees to Argentina where he lives a relatively nondescript life. After the arrest of Adolph Eichmann he flees to Paraguay and, then, Brazil eluding captivity until his death in 1979.
6. Kurt Lischka (Gestapo Chief)
Nazi Hunters looks at how German housewife Beate Klarsfeld and her husband Serge helped track down former Paris Gestapo chief Kurt Lishka. Lishka ordered the arrest and murder of over 33,000 Jews lived as a free man in Germany for years before his eventual arrest in Cologne.
7. Paul Touvier (The Villain Of Lyon)
Nazi Hunters examines how French investigators hunted down Paul Touvier a pro-Nazi sympathizer who was responsible for murdering both Jews and resistance fighters. Known as the 'Hangman of Lyon' , Touvier hid himself with the assistance of a right wing group associated with the Catholic Church.
8. Franz Stangl & Gustav Wagner (Commander Of Treblinka)
Nazi Hunters examines how Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal tracked down fugitive war criminal Franz Stangl in Brazil. Stangl was responsible for the murder of over 800,000 people. His arrest eventually leads to Gustav Wagner a deputy commander of the Sobibor extermination camp.
