Weeks have passed. From an upstairs window at a neighbor's home, exiled Elvira sees new love interests and new faces entering her family members' lives.

To win back her job, Elvira embarks on a mission that unexpectedly brings her face to face with Lorenzo. Renan asks for Sam's thoughts about his book.

Lorenzo demands answers from Elvira, who recalls her youth to address them. Sam learns Renan has been seeing his ex. Carole makes a pass at Lorenzo.

With some help, Elvira escapes captivity and arrives at her family's Christmas dinner, only to discover Sandrine — and later, Lorenzo — have also come.

Months later, Elvira and her family are being pulled in different directions by new homes, relationships and aspirations, until a loss reunites them.

The sect makes a demand of Carole. Renan extends an invitation to Sam. Elvira confesses to Patrick the rest of the truth about Lorenzo's origins.
