Season 1 Plot
This series tells the story of Kang Mi-rae, a girl once bullied for her looks. As a result, she became insecure, cautious around people and withdrawn. However, Mi-rae decides she wants a fresh start away from bullying and gets plastic surgery to transform her face. When she begins university, she meets Do Kyeong-seok from their middle school days, who sees people for what they are on the inside and not the outside; he then becomes attracted to Mi-rae. As Mi-rae begins to get teased once more and labeled "Gangnam Beauty", the cold, aloof but kind inside Kyeong-seok becomes the one person that stands up for her and in the process, Mi-rae begins to recover her lost confidence and discovers that true beauty is not on the outside.

Tormented for her looks throughout most of her life, Kang Mi-rae makes a big decision to make sure that college will be different.

Mi-rae shows her new face to her father. At school, she attracts the attention of students including Do Kyeong-seok, who knows about her past.
3. You Don’t Even Know
A bully brings out Mi-rae's insecurities, while rumors of her past connection to Kyeong-seok start to spread around school.
4. You’ve Grown Up So Much
Kyeong-seok feels conflicted about the CEO of a perfume company, who becomes a new role model for Mi-rae.
5. The Handsome Guy’s Counterattack
Mi-rae has a heart-to-heart chat with Kyeong-seok, while plans for the college festival make her uneasy when she sees the outfit she's supposed to wear.

Mi-rae runs into an old classmate at the festival and notices that there's something odd about Hyeon Su-a.

The campus is abuzz with gossip about his privileged background, as Kyeong-seok arrives at an ugly truth about his broken family.

The newly independent Kyeong-seok looks for a job, starts over with his mother, and decides to be honest about his feelings for Mi-rae.

Kyeong-seok and Yeon U-yeong compete for Mi-rae's affections. Mi-rae deals with her low self-confidence when Su-a reveals her true colors.

Believing she's not good enough for Kyeong-seok, Mi-rae tries to distance herself but can't avoid him when they start a part-time job at the same place.
12. Don't You Have Feelings for Me?
Mi-rae says she only thinks of him as a friend, but Kyeong-seok doesn't give up. An unexpected talk with U-yeong puts Mi-rae in a bind.
13. It’s My First Love
Mi-rae starts to see herself in a new light after she gets a worrying glimpse of Su-a -- and also makes a decision about Kyeong-seok.
14. Start Secretly
Trying to date in secret proves to be a challenge for Mi-rae and Kyeong-seok. Su-a is perturbed by photos of her circulating online.
15. My Boyfriend is Do Kyeong-seok
Su-a confronts the wrong person about the photos. Mi-rae and Kyeong-seok decide to tell their classmates about their relationship.
16. Even Though We Don't Know Much About Life Yet
Su-a escapes a bad situation with Mi-rae's help and decides to make some changes. Mi-rae plans a surprise for Kyeong-seok's birthday.
