1. The FA Charity Shield 10th August 1974: Leeds United v Liverpool
Curtain-raiser to the new season between the 1973/74 League Champions (Leeds United) and the 1974 FA Cup Winners (Liverpool). This all-charity game is played at Wembley Stadium, long familiar to the many international players who turn out regularly for England's two best club sides. Introduced by Jimmy Hill who also examines the key action of teams who play today under new managers - Brian Clough is the new manager at Leeds, succeeding Don Revie who is England's new international chief, and Bob Paisley is in charge at Liverpool following the surprise retirement of Bill Shankly.
