Shirley Phelps-Roper is the matriarch of the Westboro Baptist Church, a hate church based in Kansas that has been described as "the most hated family in America". The church was founded by Shirley's father, Pastor Fred Phelps, and have become notorious for their homophobic views and the picketing of funerals. Shirley has been in the public firing line for decades now, and has had her own children defect from the church and its vitriolic ways. She's also a mother and grandmother who likes Barbara Streisand. This is Mad That.
2. GREG KADING | BIGGIE AND TUPAC MURDERS SOLVED
Greg Kading is a former LAPD detective and the man responsible for solving two of the most infamous unsolved murders in history - the deaths of Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur. If you know anything about the murders of two of hip hop's biggest icons, you know it because of Greg. If you don't, strap yourself in. This is Mad That.
3. MARK SARGENT | FLAT EARTH AND CONSPIRACY THEORIES
Mark Sargent is the premier voice on flat earth conspiracy, as well as a prominent name at the heart of the culture of conspiracy. He believes that Antarctica is actually an ice wall, that the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot are provably real, and that JFK wasn't killed by a lone gunman. He also used to make his own fireworks. 4. CHRIS BUCKLEY | FORMER KKK LEADER
Chris Buckley is a former KKK member, who rose to the rank of Imperial Nighthawk - the second highest position for the entire Ku Klux Klan. After years spreading hate, he now works to help save extremists from the same path that he walked; and to counteract the hate he harboured when he donned the pointed white robes of a klansman. 5. APOSTATE ALEX | THE SECRETS OF SCIENTOLOGY
Alexander Barnes-Ross, also known as Apostate Alex, is a former Scientologist turned activist and enemy of Scientology. Alex is one of the most outspoken critics of Scientology in the UK, by organising protests against the church and making people aware of the trauma he faced whilst in the Church of Scientology. Scientology isn't very fond of him, or the podcasts that allow him to tell his story. This is Mad That.
