Tommy Flannegan accepts a job offer from James Carville; Mary Matalin and Maggie Morris worry about causing a rift with some of the firm's clients; Mary and James interview a job applicant.
2. Week 2
New firm member Francisco Dupre meets his co-workers; Tommy and Maggie are suspicious about Francisco's background.
3. Week 3
Maggie does a background check on Francisco; the firm is concerned about representing a Saudi Arabian company.

A flashback to the last week of July and the origins of the Bergstrom Lowell firm.

Mary Matalin defends herself against rumors that she may been the source of the recent leak of a CIA agent's identity.

"The Leak" has the firm on edge and Carville staring up at the ceiling vents; Tommy has a marital crisis.

The FBI puts a scare into the employees of Bergstrom Lowell and on the advice of legal counsel nobody can talk about what's going on.

Carville meets with the Department of Justice and finds himself in the hot seat.
