1. Episode 1
Judge Rinder examines the case of Laura Davies who was murdered by her 22-year-old boyfriend Jordan Taylor and the case of Andreas Christopheros who was attacked at his own home when a beaker of sulphuric acid was thrown into his face, while his wife Pia and their 18-month-old son slept in the next room.
2. Episode 2
Robert Rinder examines a Redditch rape case from 1996, in which Victor Nealon spent 17 years trying to clear his name, and an 18-month nationwide crime spree carried out by a gang. The programme examines the combined efforts of several police forces that were able to track down the gang and declare them guilty.
3. Episode 3
The barrister considers the case of 25-year-old Joanna Yeates, who was found strangled to death and partially covered in snow on a county lane on Christmas morning 2010. The discovery of her body ended an eight-day police search, but the authorities and the media focused on Joanna's landlord and neighbour, Christopher Jeffries, while the real killer was on the loose.
4. Episode 4
Defence barrister Robert Rinder steps out from behind the bench to review two more real-life cases. Today he tells the story of Debbie Davey, who had a successful career, a loving family and a healthy bank balance - which made her the envy of her friend Caryn Bates, who concocted an elaborate scam to Debbie out of thousands of pounds. Plus, when mother-of-two Zoe Dronfield met Jason Smith she thought he was the man of her dreams. But soon his dark side began to surface, and after a year of his violent behaviour she ended the relationship. However, in early 2014 he talked his way back into her home - and inflicted a brutal attack that lasted eight hours.
5. Episode 5
The cases of lovable rogue Adam Vincent, who was menaced by a neighbouring family known to Humberside Police for causing trouble and dealing in drugs. Plus, Sophie Lancaster and boyfriend Robert Maltby who were brutally attacked in a park in Bacup, Lancashire. Sophie died of her injuries, while Robert suffered brain damage.
6. Episode 6
Barrister Robert Rinder examines two more real-life cases, looking at the events leading up to crimes, going through the police investigations and summing up the trials. He first looks at the 2014 murder of hairdresser Hollie Gazzard by her ex-boyfriend Asher Maslin in the salon where she worked, before exploring the story of Mary Turner Thompson, who discovered her husband William Jordan was a bigamist.
7. Episode 7
Barrister Robert Rinder examines the case of James Smith, a security guard confronted by a masked man with a gun in January 2013. He also assesses the story of Tye Hawkins, an 11-year-old knocked down by a motorbike rider in a hit and run in September 2015.
8. Episode 8
The barrister considers the case of Stephen Downing, who was convicted in 1974 of the murder of Wendy Sewell in Bakewell Cemetery and released on appeal in 2001 following a lengthy campaign by journalist Don Hale.
9. Episode 9
Defence barrister Robert Rinder reviews two more real-life cases. When Liz and Jonathan Speirs were approached by friend and neighbour Keith Cameron to invest in a telecoms business, the offer seemed too good to be true. Sure enough, Keith was a conman with just one thing on his mind - scamming them out of as much cash as possible. Plus, the story of trainee motor mechanic Billy Dove, whose night out with friends in 2011 ended in tragedy when a fight broke out with a gang outside a nightclub and Billy was fatally stabbed.
10. Episode 10
The case of Joe and Keith Barnett, who after trying unsuccessfully for a child looked into surrogacy. However, their chosen carrier scammed out of £10,000. Plus, Robert Rinder looks at the crimes of Liverpudlian drug lord Chris Welsh, who orchestrated a £200m cross-border cartel.
