1. Episode 1
The coastguard rescue a 6ft 9 Norwegian nicknamed Tiny from a ship going to the Shetland Folk Festival. Junior doctor Freddie treats an Indonesian fisherman in A&E. Paramedic Emma and colleagues travel to Yell to train first responders.
2. Episode 2
It is early summer and Shetland's farmers are at their busiest. But Wilma must take a break from her croft to undergo a serious operation at the Gilbert Bain. A veteran farmer has a heart scare.
3. Episode 3
A patient makes a 450-mile round trip for a hospital appointment that takes just 20 minutes. An oil rig worker is rushed to A&E with a suspected stroke. Emergency service staff join forces raise money for an MRI scanner for Shetland.
4. Episode 4
Chloe starts her first shift as a fully qualified nurse. Emma takes three junior doctors for a rejuvenating dip in the bay near the hospital. Coastguard Rescue flies in a night-shift worker for urgent medical attention from A&E staff.
5. Episode 5
A 95-year-old navy veteran is winched from the deck of a cruise ship, having lain undiscovered in his cabin for 11 hours. A patient has his holiday interrupted with kidney problems.
6. Episode 6
Patients on Fair Isle wait for a break in the weather to make the trip to hospital for important operations. GP Esther Mitchell makes the trip the other way. Poor weather means it has been eight weeks since she was able to visit.
7. Episode 7
Dental director Dr Brian Chittick operates on one of his colleagues who has two troublesome wisdom teeth that need removing. A patient arrives in A&E with abdominal pains. The women's rugby 7's team take on teams from across Scotland.
8. Episode 8
The latest crop of junior doctors have to put all their training and experience to the test. A group of off-duty junior doctors and medical students take a trip to the island of Fetlar for a midnight swim.
9. Episode 9
Jean, the community nurse on the little archipelago of Out Skerries, is out on her rounds seeing patients and delivering medicine. A man who fell into a fence is in A&E with a very sore shoulder. Paramedics welcome a new team member.
10. Episode 10
There are serious concerns for a baby boy who arrives in A&E feeling very unwell. Occupational therapist Marc Beswick has been making modifications to an electric wheelchair to ensure its owner can develop some independence.
