Arctic storms produce the lowest temperatures in ten years. But the heroes of the winter road can not be stopped by minus 30 degrees, and they risk their lives to save drivers in need. Thord and Bjørn face unexpected threats and old rivals. In Overhalla, Jo Roger returns from injury, and he wants to show that he is still the king of the north.

When an Arctic storm kicks off the coldest winter of a decade, Thord tries to rescue a truck blocking a blind bend but the driver ignores Thord’s instructions and puts all their lives at risk. A blizzard causes chaos for Bjorn when a jackknifed truck blocks the road. And in the far north, a truck full of fish on a tight deadline crashes into a snowbank so rescue boss Jo Roger has to get it back on track.

To protect their business, Thord and Bjoern open a new garage on the Hardangervidda mountain. Bjoern heads out to rescue a truck causing chaos, but the driver has Bjoern losing his temper, and almost his fingers. When Ole Henrik tries to save a jackknifed truck and trailer, a reckless manoeuvre gets him in trouble. Now the young tow trucker needs to be rescued himself.

The police put Thord under pressure to rescue a truck blocking a tunnel on the express route. Bjoern rescues a truck that’s slid out on sheet ice - but faces danger when passing trucks come too close for comfort. In the far north, a flying winch wire threatens Jo Roger and Ole Henrik when they try to rescue a crashed out truck.

Jo Roger tries to save a thirty-five ton excavator that slid down a steep bank, but the extreme cold causes equipment failure - and when brittle steel snaps, lives are at risk.
