Season 8 Plot
The 8th season of House of Dreams (Husdrömmar) follows several exciting projects and also revisits house projects from previous seasons. Among others, the container house in Tranås from season 6, a run down chapel turned into a family home and how nature can help frame a tasteful house.

Season 8 Episodes
1. Previous Seasons Revisited: What Happened?
Revisiting the container house in Tranås, since last time it has been camouflaged to match the surrounding forest! We also revisit the small fire station in Österlen that now has grown out if its original shell and Anne gets bad news from Amber and Uffe who participated last season. And finally, Gert and Karin Wingårdh have finished their new built barn house on their farm in Äggdal.
2. With Pure Will in Häcken
On a beautiful spot by a forest lake, Jon and Jenny are tearing down their current house to make room for their grand dream house that Jenny has drawn on her own during maternity leave. However, it looks more like a child’s drawing if you ask Gert Wingårdh! But Jon and Jenny are not giving up, how hard can it really be to draw and build a house?
3. Turn of the Century Chapel in Strömsberg
Exactly 100 years ago the chapel in Strömsberg was built, and now it’s being sold by the Swedish church. The buyers are Josefin and Ilias, who want to turn it into their summer house. The run down chapel will now be transformed from a church to a cosy family home, if that is even possible?
4. DIY School in Billesholm
Casper and Elin, both 23 years old, have bought an abandoned old school house in the village of Billesholm. It’s a run down house that they want to turn into their palace, but the money is tight and neither of them have even owned a house before. Instead they have to learn everything about renovating a house - DIY style.
5. Architecture for Nature in Vallda
Daniel and Jeanette have found the perfect nature plot not too far from Gothenburg and here they want to build a tasteful low-key house for their family. But how does a newly built house fit seamlessly into nature that has been evolving for thousands of years? This turns out to be much more tricky than they imagined.
6. The Whole World in Östra Vemmerlöv
Pernilla has lived all over the world with no steady home but now she seeks more peace and quiet for herself. In an old brick house in Österlen she wants to create a meeting spot for family and friends - and all the different rooms in the house are being renovated with a specific inspiration from places she has visited all over the world. How will her dreams and ambitions come to together in the house? Will she find the peace and quiet she is looking for?
7. Design Dreams in Stenungsund
Linus Fernström was an elite ice hockey player but was injured during a game and was told that he will probably never play ice hockey again. Instead Linus decides to fulfil his dream of drawing his own house with a magnificent view for him and his family. It turns out to be a house that Gert Wingårdh has a hard time to believe Linus has drawn on his own without any prior knowledge.
8. Tiny House on Langeland
Andrea and Jonathan think their live too large, but most of all too expensive - despite the fact that they live in a 30 square meter student flat. Andrea is studying to be an architect and wants to build them a tiny house that’s just 17 square meters! They don’t know yet where in the world they want to live, but with a house on wheels the sky is the limit, or is it?
9. Straw Bale House in Kassjö
In Kassjö outside Umeå, Erik and Laura want to build a house with an unusual technique – despite the fact that they have never built a house before. Their future home is to be built with straw bales and clay, and they have been preparing for years. The ambitious goal is not only a sustainable house but also an entirely new life stile – they want to become completely ,self sufficient. But one thing they do worry about – will they have the strength to complete it all?
10. Towards New Heights in Veddige
The carpenter Andreas has built many houses but never one for himself and his big family. The dream about a sturdy house built in solid wood has long been set aside to make every day life work as half the family has ADHD. But there is a lot of love and finally Andreas and Jennie is set to go, high on a hill with a view over the river Viskan.
