Season 1 Plot
Top actors in Korea will build a small, portable house to experience life in various places around Korea. They will live together and even invite guests over. They will empty their greed and live minimal and environmentally friendly life, and fill their lives with important things in their lives instead. The members will spend time together in the portable house and share their heartfelt conversations with each other.
House on Wheels Season 1 aired on June 11th, 2020.
Season 1 Episodes
1. Meeting The House On Wheels
Dong-il, Hee-won, and Jin-goo meet the first moving house in Korea. They become proud owners of the House on Wheels. They head to Gangwon Province to find their first front yard. Lee Hye-ri and Ra Mi-ran join them as the first guests to visit the House on Wheels.
2. Sunrise In Bed
The second day in Goseong arrives with the sunrise. The members enjoy the beautiful sunrise in bed. Dong-il and Hee-won bring a giant octopus that surprises everyone with its size. Jin-goo and Hye-ri head to the local markets to bring back some local food. The members and guests feel like family in just a day with the House on Wheels.
3. Lovely Jeju
The House on Wheels heads to Jeju Island. The guest that is as lovely as Jeju Island, Kong Hyo-jin, visits the House on Wheels. The members are determined to treat Hyo-jin to a great time and not make her do any work. However, thanks to the slow members, Hyo-jin helps out the three members diligently.
4. Enjoying Jeju
Hyo-jin spends her first night in the House on Wheels. They head out to the sea to try fishing and enjoy fresh seafood. After leaving their first windy front yard, their second front yard is Meochewat Forest Walkway, a place full of trees and birds chirping.
5. Damyang
The members head to their new front yard in Damyang. They settle down in a beautiful bamboo forest. They visit the nearby traditional market to buy popular dishes in the area. Lee Sung-kyung visits as this week’s guest with her bubbly charms.
6. Gochang
The surprise dinner guest gets revealed. After enjoying the relaxing bamboo forest, the House on Wheels heads to a mud flat in Gochang.
7. Mungyeong
The House on Wheels heads to Mungyeong, a place known for its historic and scenic tourist attactions. Their front yard is the beautiful landing field for para gliders. IU joins the members in Mungyeong as Jin Goo’s guest. Dong-il leads the others to try their first para gliding experience.
8. My Son’s Friends
After a hectic dinner due to the sudden rain, the members and IU greet the morning in Mungyeong. The House on Wheels moves to Seonyudong Valley Stream. IU becomes a temporary owner of the house as a special guest visits them. Dong-il and Hee-won treat Jin Goo’s friends with an amazing meal.
9. Hee-won’s Friends
The House on Wheels heads to a camping site in Namyangju. This week, Hee-won’s friends join as guests. Uhm Tae-goo, Lee Jung-eun, Park Hyuk-kwon, and Go Chang-suk reveal their different charm and enjoy their time at the House on Wheels. For his guests, Hee-won decides to be in charge of the cooking.
10. Reunited in Chuncheon
The House on Wheels family meets up with Jung Eun-ji in Chuncheon. As Dong-il adores her like a real daughter, he tries his best to make her have a great time. They visit a traditional market nearby and buy Chuncheon’s specialties. Eun-ji also prepares a dish for the family.
11. Geoje Island with Ji-won
The House on Wheels heads all the way to Geoje Island. Their new front yard is Hakdong Mongdol Beach, a place where you can see the sea, mountain, and stream at once. Cheerful Ha Ji-won visits the House on Wheels.
12. Peaceful Goodbye
Dong-il prepares another amazing dinner for Ji-won and the other members. After enjoying a good night’s sleep, Ji-won and Jin-goo prepare a nice brunch the next day. They all head to a traditional market together and do some grocery shopping.
