j-hope’s STREET DANCE REPORT. In 2024, j-hope of BTS begins a new journey in his 12th year, returning to his dancer roots. Accompanied by his former instructor, the popping champion Boogaloo Kin, he explores the streets of Osaka, Seoul, Paris, New York, and Gwangju, meeting inspiring street dancers along the way. Follow j-hope as he pursues a dream connecting his past, present, and future.

1. HOPE ON THE STREET
Where did j-hope get his start, how far has he come, and what lies ahead? j-hope opens up about the motivation behind HOPE ON THE STREET and why he sought out Boogaloo Kin to come along for the journey. He also takes a look ahead and teases what's to come throughout the series.
2. I WONDER
It’s already been 11 years since j-hope debuted. Though he’s been dancing for 17 years now, there’s still so much more he wants to know. Before jumping into the complexities of dance and life, he starts by revisiting something familiar: popping, the dance style he's known since childhood. Finding himself in Osaka, he meets a renowned popper as he digs around to satisfy his curiosity.
3. LOCK, UNLOCK
Locking and unlocking— the essence of the locking dance, also apply to life. At times, we need restraint, and at other times, the freedom to express ourselves fully is crucial. As BTS embarks on their chapter, j-hope navigates when to lock, and when to unlock. Drawing parallels with life’s dynamics, he seeks wisdom from his first dance instructor, adding depth to his journey.
4. I DON'T KNOW
With his heart set on learning the extremely captivating dance style called house, j-hope heads to Paris. He starts out with only a passing knowledge of the style, giving viewers an inside look at how he takes his raw talent and moves from the fundamentals of house to more elaborate moves.
5. WHAT IF
We’re all familiar with the term “soulmate,” and there’s no doubt that the other members of BTS are j-hope’s. However he has one additional soulmate: hip-hop. Journeying to New York, j-hope seeks out a first-generation pioneer of hip-hop dance. How would it feel to learn hip-hop from this legendary dancer? Just dancing with him fills j-hope with excitement.
6. NEURON
j-hope returns to where he and his dancing dreams were first ignited, visiting his old crew, Neuron, for a deep dive back into the past. As he dances once more with the group that kickstarted his journey, j-hope finds himself reconnecting with his roots, reliving the early days that set him on the path to where he is today.
