Season 2 Episodes
1. Hosanna Roseanna
Malcolm has gone off to college and Harry and Tommy decide to share the office space above the shoe store, which Jenna will continue to run. Harry is asked, by an attorney from her previous law firm, to defend a man accused of killing his wife. The District Attorney herself tries the case and will go to any length to win.
2. There Will Be Blood
Harry and DA Roseanna Remmick continue to butt heads while Tommy deals with the media circus surrounding the case. Oliver and Cassie are assigned some investigative work.
3. Sins of the Father
Adam preps Eric's daughter for her pivotal testimony as Harry worries about Cassie's impending cross-examination of a key state's witness. Meanwhile, Ollie clashes with Harry over what's in the best interest of their client while D.A. Roseanna Remmick goes to great lengths to get a guilty verdict.
4. Queen of Snark
Harry teams up with Ollie to defend a teenage blogger who is arrested when a classmate commits suicide shortly after being outed in the blog. Adam takes Tommy to court for accepting a life insurance policy as payment from a now-deceased cancer patient. All the while, Jenna weighs a tempting job offer that could take her away from Harriet's Law & Fine Shoes.
5. Bad to Worse
Harry defends a teacher who was fired for failing a student because of their conflicting ideas of evolution, while Ollie helps out an old girlfriend.
6. The Rematch
Harry and Adam defend former prosecutor Josh "Puck" Peyton, who stands accused of aiding and abetting a kidnapper; Peyton successfully negotiated her safe return, but did so behind the back of the FBI. The case brings Harry into a fierce rematch with D.A. Roseanna Remmick who is back with a vengeance and determined to outdo Harry and put Puck in prison. Elsewhere, Tommy ropes Cassie into an ethically questionable divorce proceeding involving his oldest clients.
7. American Girl
While Harry is on vacation, her trip takes a frustrating turn when the small town of Langford, Ohio impounds her Mercedes Benz for violating their "Buy American" law. Harry, with Oliver at her side, challenges the town's law and is pit against a young, homespun attorney and the engine behind the law, Langford's mayor, Franklin Chickory. Meanwhile, Adam represents the Chens, a Chinese family whose daughter was stolen because of China's one-child policy and adopted by American parents. With Cassie's help, Adam hopes to win custody for the Chens.
8. Insanity
Harry must practice some conflict resolution when Oliver and Cassie butt heads over an emotional case: defending a schizophrenic 17-year-old who shot and killed three college students on campus. Meanwhile, Tommy represents an owner and operator of two businesses: a "Green Mortuary" for eco-friendly burial, and an organic produce market. Unfortunately, his two businesses overlap resulting in his vegetables being fertilized with the decomposing bodies. Elsewhere, Chunhua (Irene Keng) returns to ask Adam (Nate Corddry) for help when her family's dry cleaning business is seized through eminent domain in an effort to "develop" the neighborhood.
9. Head Games
When a high school football game turns deadly Harry and Adam team up to represent angry parents while Tommy must defend a struggling single mother.
10. Purple Hearts
Harry defends a mother accused of killing her own child. Meanwhile, Tommy and Adam handle a case with a veteran wanting to get a Purple Heart.
11. Gorilla My Dreams
Adam and Cassie defend a high school friend of Adam's who dressed up as Wonder Woman and carried out vigilante actions against husbands who abuse their wives. Meanwhile, Harry and Tommy take on the case of a woman who wants an escaped gorilla declared a person so she can adopt him.
12. New Kidney on the Block
Jimmy, a dear friend of Harry’s, comes to town with more than just a good hand of poker, but a plea to help him change the law regarding the sale of kidneys, as he recently found out he only has six months to live. As hard as they tried to prove it was no different than the sale of semen or blood, the judge refuses. Oliver and Tommy defend twins, Laila and Nicole accused of killing their husband with Hoseanna Roseanna prosecuting. When Nicole admits to the crime, Tommy and Oliver attempt to point the finger at each other’s clients which results in both Laila and Nicole’s conviction in the crime, despite Laila’s innocence.
13. After the Lovin'
Harry walks the halls of her old law firm with her client as she prepares to meet with rival attorney Sam Berman. "Your attorney used to be a valued member of our firm. It was a shame to see her go," Berman says before Harry corrects him. "They fired me." Harry represents Earl Connolly, the grieving husband of a woman who died from smoking, and Berman represents the cigarette company being sued. Berman offers a settlement of one $123,000. "For a dead wife?" Harry asks as she quickly rejects the offer. Berman warns Harry that she doesn't want to go to trial; the client's wife freely smoked cigarettes for 35 years, and the company will keep the lawsuit tied up in litigation for years before the case even sees trial. Harry's not afraid of the battle ahead and leaves with her client ready for the litigation war that awaits them.
14. Les Horribles
Harry represents a school principal trying to expel a student with an anxiety-based condition which causes her to have uncontrollable outbursts. In addition, Harry reaches out to Roseanna Remmick for help with a former client who is convinced that his sister was murdered by her husband. Elsewhere, a former high school classmate of Adam's, comes to him for help with her plea bargain on drug and prostitution charges. Tommy prepares for a gala where he hopes to win Trial Lawyer of the Year.
15. Search and Seize
After a police investigation, Harry's next door neighbor is accused of being a sex offender. While the investigation does not yield charges, it becomes grounds for her to lose her job as a teacher and she seeks out Harry's help. Meanwhile, Oliver faces off against opposing counsel, Phoebe Blake, after a couple comes to him to represent their rebellious son who dropped out of school to take a well-paying, full-time job. Back at the office, Adam must play mediator when the women who work downstairs in the shoe store revolt against Chunhua's seemingly tyrannical leadership.
16. The Lying Game
"Now look, Judge. Trials are rarely about the truth. The D.A. distorts, the defense distorts. Why shouldn't the client be allowed to put in her version? After all, it is her life on the line." In order to get her innocent client off, Harry must put her on the stand to testify, but the client has said she plans to lie in order to protect the real culprit. If Harry lets her testify, she'll be suborning perjury, and if she doesn't, her client will surely be convicted, so she must do everything in her power to get her client to tell the truth.
17. The Contest
Oliver defends a high school teenager charged with selling the morning-after pill to under-age girls. Harry enters the firm into a beauty contest to win a bet against her old firm.
18. Breaking Points
Harry represents a rogue juror who ran away from jury duty in the midst of deliberations on a high-profile murder case. With Tommy's help, Harry must justify the juror's flight which led to a costly mistrial for the State. Elsewhere, Phoebe and Adam defend a reality TV show wife after being sued by her dead husband's family when he commits suicide. Back at the office, Oliver and Cassie strive to balance their newfound relationship with the firm's heavy case-load.
19. And the Band Played On
When a hazing ritual goes terribly awry, resulting in 39 members of a school marching band being charged with first degree murder, Harry makes an impassioned plea with the judge to toss out the law and do the right thing. Meanwhile Tommy, Ollie, and Cassie agree to represent a man who claims he was raped by a beautiful woman, and Tommy takes extreme measures to get to the truth.
20. Class War
Harry reunites with Malcolm to help a death row inmate accused of killing a cop; Adam and Phoebe defend a lovable rogue art thief.
21. The Whole Truth
When Harry's client is acquitted of raping and murdering his ex-girlfriend, the victim's father and brother take the courtroom hostage. Meanwhile, a friend of Cassie's needs help after being in a car accident.
22. Onward and Upward
Series Finale: Harry's ex-husband is found dead and with no one else to claim his body, Harry finds herself planning his funeral which, to her surprise, stirs up old emotions. Meanwhile, she and Tommy agree to represent a man whom police suspect murdered his ex-wife. Elsewhere, Ollie seeks Cassie's help in representing a student who is suing the Law School that rejected her application due to affirmative action quotas and Adam goes up against Phoebe when he represents a man who was fired because he habitually popped his false teeth in and out of his mouth.
