There is a shorter school day at Grange Hill so Jonah and Zammo decide to fill the gap by going elsewhere. Meanwhile Fay's hockey trials bring her relationship with Annette to breaking point.

Suzanne is on the verge of leaving home, and Gripper's demanding an Oath of Allegience.

Racially motivated fighting reaches a critical point, and the unofficial school magazine comes off the press.

14. Repercussions
Gripper's back from suspension and not at all happy about Claire's magazine article against him. Mr. McGuffy is suspended, and a referendum on flexitime is announced.

Fun and games on the Outward Bound course, but Roland spends his time in a more unorthodox way.
16. Outward Bound: Part 2
Mr Baxter turns out to be afraid of heights. Meanwhile, Zammo has a near miss during the canoeing exercises.

It is exam time at Grange Hill. Jonah decides that the ballot on flexitime requires some special 'assistance'.

Mrs McClusky's suspension of Scruffy produces a very strong reaction among the Grange Hill students. They decide to take some rather extraordinary measures to express their point of view.
