Touching, honest and hilarious, the show takes a look at the stresses, strains and joys of working in and using the health service in modern Britain. Dr Jackie Bulger is trying to work out why her diabetic patient Sarah's insulin levels are sky high. Delving deeper Dr Bulger learns that Sarah is also suffering with depression and has not eaten properly in three months.

Mario is strangely upbeat about cutting his finger off with a powersaw.

Dr Shazia Javed meets a youngster called Mohammed, but can find no identifiable reason for the boy's high temperature, and the reception team are shocked when a regular patient drives himself to the surgery despite showing signs that he has suffered a stroke.

This special episode focuses on patients with mental health problems who have come to the Farnham Road Surgery.

A baby with an exceedingly uncommon variant of Chromosome 3p-syndrome, an already-rare genetic condition, undergoes an operation to correct a heart defect. However, the procedure could mean a delay to his christening. Meanwhile, Joseph, a young bladder cancer patient, hopes Dr Mio Kwan will sign him off work following an operation to remove the offending cells. Plus, Susan worries a stroke may be behind her unusual headaches and facial numbness, but Dr Manj Tawana has another diagnosis in mind - Horner's Syndrome - which is caused by nerve damage to the area of the neck.

Observational documentary series. Michael is concerned about his ongoing erectile dysfunction, 8-year-old Logan's mum is worried about potential side effects from his epilepsy treatment, and Jacqueline's high blood pressure needs to be brought under control before she can have a colonoscopy.

Observational documentary series. The patients at Farnham Road Surgery this week are suffering with chronic pain. Joseph who needs painkillers for a bad back but must avoid opiates becuase of his past as a former heroin user. Sean takes warfarin for blood clots, but too much can lead to internal bleeding. Ricky needs knee surgery but is afraid of going under the knife, and Leslie has ended up with bird fancier's lung.

Observational documentary series filmed inside the consulting rooms of a busy NHS general practice in Slough. A patient enters reception with all the signs of suffering a stroke. Other cases include a man suffering trauma after almost losing a leg at work, and three patients with worrying stomach pains.

Alcohol has ruined Gary's life, it has cost him his marriage, his job and his health, but he cannot stop himself downing up to 24 cans of lager a day. Meanwhile, Dr Ranj Kochhar is dealing with a patient who insists his alcohol use is doing him good.

Patients include a young man with arthritis and extremely severe psoriasis and a woman planning a holiday in Mexico, where the zika virus is rife.

8-year-old Marcus suffers with ADHD, a difficult problem to diagnose and treat and one which places an enormous strain on the sufferer and their loved ones. Meanwhile, Dr Ranj Kochhar is treating Adam, a young man whose life is beginning to spiral out of control due to a crack cocaine addiction.

This episode focuses on how cancer affects patients at different stages stages of their lives. The patients are a four-year-old boy with a suspected ear infection following chemotherapy for a tumour that affects balance and coordination, a 19-year-old girl worried that her symptoms have begun to recur, and a 72-year-old smoker facing an agonising wait for test results.

Dr Bulger offers some advice to a patient whose blood pressure is high, and Dr Ward treats someone who has consulted 'Dr Google' and come up with a peculiar diagnosis.

The staff rally round when receptionist Glenda Purdie is diagnosed with cancer, and reception manager Alison agrees to have her head shorn for charity. For the doctors, a wide range of complaints await their expert eye.
