1. Stroud and Wootton Bassett
The architect tries to unlock the potential of old properties. He starts out in Stroud, where Phil and Leighla are transforming their ramshackle, listed Georgian farmhouse with an industrial-style extension. George also pays a visit to Wootton Bassett, where he helps a couple flip the layout of their Victorian end-of-terrace home
2. Worthing and Worcestershire
The architect helps more people make their period homes fit for modern life. George looks to Japan for inspiration as he helps Rachel and Sarah with the ground floor of their Victorian terraced home in Worthing. In Worcestershire, he meets a young couple who have bitten off more than they can chew in the shape of a listed 17th-century cottage
3. Stratford-upon-Avon and Essex
The architect is in Stratford-upon-Avon, where he helps Laura and Jonnie to transform their Edwardian mock Tudor house into a modern family home. George also meets Nicki, whose 1920s cottage in Essex needs major changes to make it more accessible
4. Clapham and Hove
The architect advises more people make their period homes fit for modern life. In Clapham, Masum and Maria's Victorian terraced home is no longer working for the three generations of family living there. George also travels to Hove to meet Louis and Sarah, who are tackling the upstairs of their 16th-century gatehouse
5. Lighthorne
George takes on a 17th-century, Grade II listed thatched cottage in Warwickshire. Anthony, a builder, and Emily, a physiotherapist, are determined to turn this rather ramshackle build into their family home. But they may have bitten off more than they can chew
