Katrien's condition is critical. René and Hans share important news with the family. Adele turns to Corne for help and Lara is unsure if Jaco will return from Spain.

Lara has her hands full with a divorce. Burger offers Katrien a new job. Rene faces a difficult decision and Lilani gives Corne very bad advice.

Rene is having trouble adjusting to her surgery. Ben helps a suspended teacher. Adele and Wian are stuck over Mandisa's future and Luke is hiding a secret from his family.

Katrien starts at the public prosecutor and it's a nightmare. Corne learns that not everyone who needs help is good. Tensions run high between Wian and Adele and Lara and Jaco begin therapy.

It's matric farewell and Tamryn surprises Ben and the children. Corne has his hands full with the legal aid clinic and Dolf and Wian have to defend an explosive clientele.

Corne meets Christelle's father and it's a nightmare. Dewald returns and asks Lara to defend him in a fraud case. Katrien is the prosecutor. Thandi makes her comeback.

Adele is hysterical about her new store opening. Corne discovers a shocking secret from his mother. Gertrude and Dolf receive unexpected news about their pregnancy.

While Rene is in remission, Ben and Lara face big decisions. Wian must defend a fellow lawyer accused of theft while Katrien and Jack go on another date.

Thandi has a chance to get her job back, but must solve an impossible case. Ben goes to a conference and meets an old friend of Lara's. An old client of Lara's returns.

Lara tries her best to prove Marco's innocence while Ben accepts his fate as head of the practice. Luke and Richard go camping while Corne learns what it means to stay together.

Lara doubts herself and the magistrate position, while Ben slowly but surely reaches breaking point. Katrien finally tells Burger the truth about Kobus.

It's Christmas. The Van Wyk family may be celebrating their last Christmas with Rene. Corne clashes with Christelle's father over Christmas dinner. Dolf learns something about being a father from Gertrude's father.

Corné's center for legal services is opened and the Van Wyk family says goodbye to René in Graaff-Reinet.
