Everyone is relying on Jacob to find the money needed to relocate his extended family to Paris - except Fanny who refuses to be a burden to anyone.

The nation of Denmark is officially dismantled. Angry workers attack the estate looking to get paid and Nikolaj and Henrik fight back with grave consequences.

Nikolaj and Henrik are overwhelmed by the dawning realisation of the consequences of their actions.

Most people have left Denmark by now. A concerned Jacob puts his entire family’s welfare in jeopardy by asking the French police to find Laura.

Elias is beaten within an inch of his life and left for dead at the Polish seaside. Laura is reunited with Fanny but fears she will never see Elias again.
