Season 5 Plot
From a long-lost city hidden in the vast jungles of Guatemala to the hunt for a stolen pair of the iconic (and priceless) ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz, avid explorer Josh Gates sets out across the globe to investigate the greatest mysteries of all time. The series kicks off its Discovery debut with a two-part quest to the lost-city of El Mirador deep in the Guatemalan rainforest.

1. Pyramid of Legends
Archaeologist Dr. Richard Hansen joins Josh and his team to venture deep into the Guatemalan rainforest to find the hidden tombs of the mysterious Snake Kings in the ancient Mayan city of El Mirador.
2. Lost City of El Mirador
Josh concludes his investigation into the mysterious Maya city of El Mirador, from the possible burial of the elusive Snake Kings to uncovering the secrets behind the fall of one of history's greatest ancient cities.
3. Nazis in Argentina
Josh ventures to Argentina, where many Nazi SS officers escaped to after World War II.
4. Lost Gold of Jean Lafitte
Josh ventures to the American south to uncover the mystery of real-life buccaneer Jean Laffite and the location of his hidden treasure.
5. Mahogany Ship
Josh goes down under to search along Australia's infamous Shipwreck Coast for the missing Mahogany Ship.
6. Hunt for the Ruby Slippers
Josh investigates the theft of one of the most iconic pieces of Hollywood memorabilia of all time — the ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in the 1939 classic movie, The Wizard of Oz.
7. Solved: Mystery of the Lost Ruby Slippers
In an extended episode with new footage, Profiles in History CEO Joe Maddalena and Josh Gates assist in the recovery of stolen ruby slippers from the movie, "The Wizard of Oz." Investigators have been searching for them ever since they were stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in 2005.
