Season 1 Plot
Yukiko Makabe works at the #3 Special Investigation Team of the Metropolitan Police Department. She has excellent negotiation skills. Yukiko then attempts to negotiate with a hijacker on a bus, but something unexpected happens and her mission fails. Yukiko takes full responsibility and takes a transfer to a special interrogation team "Kintori". Her boss is Katsutoshi Kajiyama and Yukiko has had a difficult working relationship with him in the past. Her other coworkers include Susumu Hishimoto, Zenjiro Nakata and Haruo Koishikawa.
Emergency Interrogation Room Season 1 aired on January 9th, 2014.

Taking the blame for a hostage negotiation gone bad, Yukiko Makabe faces hostile new colleagues when she is demoted to the interrogation room unit.
2. A Man Who Doesn't Speak
A model is found bludgeoned to death. With lead suspect Sugita remaining silent when questioned, the team investigates his family to find answers.
3. A Woman Tainted With Lies
A high-ranking official suffers a blunt head injury and falls to his death. His calm wife confesses immediately, but her story doesn't quite add up.
4. A Provoking Man
A politician suspected of being involved in a bribery scandal saunters in for questioning, but his supreme confidence doesn't unsettle Yukiko.
5. Three Noisy Women
When the body of a wanted con man is found strangled and stuffed in a suitcase, the testimony of three unassuming housewives is called into question.
6. A Man Called the God of Games
The CEO of a video game company is abducted, leading to the arrest of a suspect who riles Yukiko with his blurring of lines between games and reality.
7. A Man Who Reveals the Truth
Sentenced to death for three gang-linked murders, Masami Sanada is interrogated when the location of the bodies conflicts with his testimony.
8. A Woman on the Run
Yukiko starts her own investigation by going to collect Sanada's notes from Kano. But she soon finds that she's not the only one pursuing them.
9. A Woman Stripped Naked
With the body count rising and finding herself detained, Yukiko must finally bring to justice those responsible for the murder of her husband.
