Season 1 Plot
Sindri Sindrason is now talking about domestic violence and we look into the world of victims who seem to have in common that they dare not tell for the longest time, are ashamed and want no one to know. Then we try to look into the minds of the perpetrators and try to understand what it is about their behavior that makes victims submit to their will.

1. The Husband filmed the violence
Sara Björk, an elementary school teacher, gets caught up in an abusive relationship after having children. Her husband abused her and recorded a video while other men abused her.
2. Violence by parents
Áslaug escaped from her parents' prison at 12 years old when her father was convicted of a decade of violence while her mother beat her almost daily.
3. 80 year old woman
Eighty years old and newly divorced after fifty years of violent relationship. In the past, women were told to just bite the bullet when they sought help. A shocking story of a woman who moved with love to Húsavík.
4. Violent relationship
Women hit other women, was she asked? Trapped in a violent relationship for five years with a woman who threatened to take her life if she left.
5. Tale of a perpetrator
Why do people use violence? Is it an illness or do they know exactly what they are doing? In the final episode of Domestic Violence, we look into the mind of the perpetrator who is still with his wife to this day.
